Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Borough of Wairoa.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the Borough of Wairoa and included in the County of Wairoa. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections, or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE BOROUGH OF WAIROA.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the south-western boundary of the Borough of Wairoa, being the westernmost corner of Section 49 of Suburban Sections Class No. 3 ; thence along the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of Section 49 and the north-eastern boundary of Section 51 of Suburban Sections Class 3 aforesaid to a point about 800 links distant from the north-eastern corner of said Section 51 ; thence south-westerly, south-easterly, and north-easterly through the said section to a point on its eastern boundary about 600 links from its north-eastern corner ; thence by a right line across a public road to the western boundary of Section 56 ; thence northerly along that boundary to the northernmost corner of the said Section 56 ; thence south-easterly generally along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 56, 57, 58, 59, and 38 of Suburban Sections Class 3 to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned section ; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 38, 39, 40, 41, and 42, Suburban Section Class 3 aforesaid, to the boundary of the Borough of Wairoa ; thence north-westerly along the borough boundary to the point of commencement.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-order and Transmission of Postal Correspondence in New Zealand for Wagga Cathedral Art Union.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having reasonable ground for supposing that the person and organization whose names and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder are engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said person or organization shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said person or organization (either by his or its own or any fictitious or assumed name), or addressed to the address in the Schedule without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Character : Flashing, red, every three seconds, thus :— light, ⅓ sec. ; eclipse, 2⅔ sec.
Elevation : 11 ft. (3 m 4).
Visibility : 3 miles.
Structure : Pile beacon.
Remarks : Unwatched. This light will commence to function on 14th July, 1927.
