Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 32 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22, I do hereby direct that on and after the date of the publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette all the said shops within the said borough shall be closed accordingly.

The notice dated the 18th November, 1925, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 19th November, 1925,

fixing the closing-hours of (1) tobacconists’ and (2) hair-dressers’ shops within the Borough of Gisborne, is hereby cancelled as from the date of the coming into operation of this notice.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale for cash by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, on Thursday, 3rd March, 1927, at 11 o’clock a.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND COUNTY.

SECTION 102, Block I, Oteramika Hundred: Area, 21 acres 3 roods 32 perches. Upset price, £25.

Situated two miles from Mokotua Railway-station and dairy factory. One mile and a half formed road; balance unformed.

Practically flat land, all in light bush; soil of medium quality on clay subsoil.

TERMS OF SALE.

One-fifth of the purchase-money on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, together with £1, Crown grant fee, within thirty days thereafter, otherwise the part of the purchase-money paid by way of deposit shall be forfeited, and the sale of the land declared null and void.

Title will be subject to Part XIII of the Land Act, 1924.

NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders for the purchase of the undermentioned milling-timber will close at the office of the State Forest Service, Invercargill, at 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, the 14th February, 1927.

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.—OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

All the milling-timber on that area, containing approximately 100 acres, known as Sawmill Area No. 496F, part Provisional State Forest No. 35, Block I, Patterson Survey District, Stewart Island.

The total estimated quantity in cubic feet is 160,541, or in board feet, 1,043,900, made up as follows:—
