Regulations prescribing Registration Fee for Hairdressers’ Premises. (H. 2/50).

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 17th day of January, 1927.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. DOWNIE STEWART PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Health Act, 1920, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the Hairdressers’ (Health) Regulations, 1926, as follows:—

  1. (1.) These regulations may be cited as the Hairdressers’ Health Regulations Amendment No. 1.

(2.) The regulations shall be read together with and be deemed to form part of the Hairdressers’ (Health) Regulations, 1926.

  1. Upon the issue of any certificate of registration under these regulations there shall be payable to the local authority by the applicant a registration fee of ten shillings, and such fee shall be paid prior to the issue of the certificate.

Altering Boundaries of Motunau Rabbit-proof Fencing District.—Notice No. Ag. 2636.

WHEREAS by Warrant dated the twenty-second day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fifth idem, at page 482, that portion of New Zealand described in the Schedule thereto was constituted and declared to be a rabbit-proof fencing district for the purposes of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), by the name of the Motunau Rabbit-proof Fencing District:

And whereas it is considered expedient to alter the boundaries of the said district:

Now therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby revoke the Schedule to the said Warrant, and substitute the following in lieu thereof.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing approximately 29,000 acres, more or less, situated in the Stonyhurst Survey District and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the foreshore of the South Pacific Ocean in Block XII of the said Stonyhurst Survey District, the said point being 15 chains in a south-westerly direction from the right bank of the Black Birch Creek at its mouth; thence by a line extending in a north-westerly direction approximately parallel with the said creek, to and across a road which forms the north-west boundary of Rural Section 20504, continuing in a north-westerly direction to and across Happy Valley Road; again towards the north-west to the most easterly point of Lot 2, D.P. 3713; thence again north-westerly by the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 1 and 2 of said D.P. 3713 and by the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 3710, to a point on the Stonyhurst Road at the south terrace of the Greta River; thence by that road to a point in line with the north-east boundary of Rural Section 25833; thence to and by that boundary to the Omihi Valley Road; thence generally in a south-westerly direction by the said Omihi Valley Road to the Motunau Road; thence generally in a southerly direction by the said Motunau Road to the Glendhu Road; thence by the road intersecting Rural Sections 10632, 10651, and 10652, to and by the eastern boundary of Section 32420, the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Sections 32935 and 27698, the south-western boundaries of said Section 27698 and of Section 32936, to and across a branch of the Motunau River, and in continuation to and across the road intersecting Rural Section 10634; thence by that road to and by the north-west and south-west boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 2189, to Vulcan Road; thence easterly along that road to a point opposite the eastern boundary of Section 32346, to and along the last-named boundary, to and along the south-east boundary of said Section 32346, to and along the south-west boundary of Section 30982, and its continuation to the foreshore of the South Pacific Ocean; thence in a north-easterly direction along the said foreshore to the commencing-point. Save and except from the above-described area Rural Sections 9886, 9888, and 10585, in Block X.

Notice of Change of the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in the Borough of Rangiora, Canterbury Land District.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section six of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), the Governor-General is empowered, in the case of any public reserve vested in His Majesty or the Governor-General for any of the purposes comprised in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, to change the purpose for which such reserve was set apart to any other purpose:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is portion of an area duly set apart as a reserve for a lock-up and other purposes of public utility, being a purpose within Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, and it is expedient to change, as hereinafter provided, the purpose of such reserve so set apart:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance of the powers conferred on me by section six of the said Act as aforesaid, declare that the purpose of the reservation over that portion of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed to a reserve for public buildings of the General Government. And I do hereby further declare that this notice is issued subject to the provisions of section seven of the said Act, and shall take effect according to the provisions of that section.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 35·9 perches, more or less, and being Reserve No. 4154 (formerly part of Rural Section No. 385), situated in the Borough of Rangiora, and bounded as follows: Towards the north by Pound Street, 168·87 links; towards the east and again towards the north by Reserve No. 4155, 100·8 and 85·87 links respectively; again towards the east by Ivory Street, 120 links; towards the south by other part of Rural Section No. 385, 255·75 links; and towards the west by Reserve No. 4169, 219·9 links: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/3/332, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Notifying Land in Southland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Thursday, the third day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND COUNTY.

SECTION 102, Block I, Oteramika Hundred: Area, 21 acres 3 roods 32 perches. Upset price, £25.

Situated two miles from Mokotua Railway-station and dairy factory. One mile and a half formed road; balance unformed.

Practically flat land, all in light bush; soil of medium quality on clay subsoil.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 21st day of January, 1927.
