Change of Name of Locality “Maxwelltown” to “Maxwell.”

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS settlers in the locality known as “Maxwelltown,” in the County of Waitotara, desire that the name of such locality should be changed to “Maxwell,” and it is considered expedient to alter the same:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Designation of Districts Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the name of the locality known as “Maxwelltown,” in the County of Waitotara, shall be and the same is hereby altered to “Maxwell,” and do assign the last-mentioned name to such locality accordingly; and also do hereby proclaim and declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on the first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, not being earlier than six months after the first publication thereof in the Gazette.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of January, 1927.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land in Alexandra Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a road:—

SECOND SCHEDULE.
ROAD CLOSED.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 4 acres 0 roods 27·2 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Allotment 199, Blocks III and IV; coloured green.
All situated in Pukete Parish, Alexandra Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 24204.)
All in the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 67928, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of January, 1927.
