IN LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of DOMESTIC UTILITIES, LTD., a company having its registered office at 250 Lambton Quay, Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned resolutions were passed at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held on the 28th April, 1927.

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be would up voluntarily, and that a liquidator be appointed for the purposes of such liquidation.

“That Messrs. McLENNAN and FEIST be appointed Liquidators for the purpose of such winding-up.”

Creditors of the above company are required, on or before the 15th June, 1927, to send their names, addresses, and particulars of their debts or claims to the Liquidators, and if so required by notice in writing, are to come in and prove their debts or claims, or, in default thereof, they will be excluded from the benefits of any distribution made before such debts are proved.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore existing between WILLIAM JAMIESON and DANIEL FORBES SUTHERLAND, under the style of “Jamieson and Sutherland,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 1st day of July, 1926.

The business will in future be carried on by WILLIAM JAMIESON.

NOTICE is hereby given that following and in conformity with a resolution passed at an extraordinary meeting of shareholders held on Friday, the 25th February, 1927, all the shareholders of the above-named company holding all the shares have signed the following resolution:—

“That, as it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that it cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, it is advisable to wind up the same, and that LEONARD KNIGHT, Public Accountant, of 408 N.Z. Insurance Buildings, Queen Street, Auckland, be appointed Liquidator of the company.”

Creditors of the above-named company are required, on or before the 12th July, 1927, to send their names and addresses, and the particulars of their debts and claims, to the Liquidator, and if so required by notice in writing, are to come in and prove their debts and claims, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefits of any distribution made before such debts and claims are proved.

WELLINGTON EDUCATION BOARD.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Wellington requires to take the land with improvements, as described hereunder:—

(1) City of Wellington: An area of 2 acres 2 roods 18·5 perches approximately, bounded as follows: On the west by the Board’s site, Coutts Street; on the south by the sewer reserve; on the north by the southern boundary of Allotments 1 to 10, D.P. 6741, fronting Coutts Steet; on the east by extension of the eastern boundary of the above-named Allotment 10 in a straight line roughly southward to its intersection with the sewer reserve.

(2) The Borough of Lower Hutt: An area of 4 acres 1·54 sq. chains approximately, with frontage to Fry’s Lane, and bounded as follows: South-east by a line 435 ft. in length, drawn south-west from the stop-bank as the north-west boundary of Sections 2 and 3 of Section 38, Hutt District, Block 9, Belmont Survey District; thence following the line of fences from the south-west corner of Section 3, a distance of 40 ft. and 146 ft. more or less to the junction with Fry’s Lane. South-west the north side of Fry’s Lane, a distance of 420 ft., towards the north-west; north-west by a line at right angles to Fry’s Lane drawn to its intersection with the stop-bank, length 276 ft.; north, the stop-bank, 486 ft. Measurements approximate.

The above areas are required for the purpose of public works—namely, for public schools, within the meaning of the Education Act, 1914.

And notice is hereby given that plans of the above areas are open for inspection at the office of the said Board in Mercer Street, in the City of Wellington, and of the land secondly described a plan may be inspected at the place of business of Mr. James Stonehouse, Main Road, Lower Hutt.

All persons affected by such taking are hereby required to set forth in writing well-grounded objection to the execution of such works or the taking of such lands, and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the said Board.

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of shareholders of the OFFICE EQUIPMENT AND IMPORT COMPANY (LIMITED), in voluntary liquidation, will be held at my office, No. 162 Manchester Street, Christchurch, on Thursday, the 2nd day of June, 1927, at 4 p.m., for the purpose of receiving the accounts showing the manner in which the winding-up of the company has been conducted, and the assets of the company disposed of.
