Allocating Cost of certain Proceedings under Section 132 of the
Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, Borough of Te Kuiti.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 26th day
of April, 1927.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in him by section one
hundred and thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations
Act, 1920, and of every other power and authority enabling
him in his behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that the Te Kuiti Borough Council
shall defray all the costs of the Commission appointed under
the said Act by Warrants under the hand of his Excellency
the Governor-General, dated the fourth day of December,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, and the eleventh
day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven,
to inquire and report upon the proposal to exclude a certain
area from the Borough of Te Kuiti and to include such area
in the County of Waitomo.

Amending Noxious Weeds Regulations, 1916.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 26th day
of April, 1927.

COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred on him by section fifty-three of the Cook
Islands Act, 1915, and of every other power and authority
enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby amend in the manner set out in the
Schedule hereto the regulations relating to noxious weeds
made by Order in Council on the third day of July, one
thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and gazetted on the
sixth day of the same month; and, with the like advice and
consent, doth declare that the amendment hereby made shall
come into operation on the date of the gazetting of this
Order in Council.

SCHEDULE.
To the list of noxious weeds set out in the First Schedule to
the said regulations of the 3rd day of July, 1916, there shall
be added the plant known as “Elephants Foot” (Elephantopus
scaber).

Authorizing the Birkenhead Borough Council to erect a
Monument as a Permanent War Memorial.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 26th day of
April, 1927.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred upon him by section fifteen of the Finance
Act, 1919 (hereinafter referred to as “the said section”),
His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
approve of the erection by the Birkenhead Borough Council
of a monument as a permanent war memorial, as provided
by the said section; and, with the like advice and consent,
doth hereby approve of the erection of such monument in
that portion of Birkenhead described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
BIRKENHEAD WAR MEMORIAL SITE.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing 18·1 perches, and being part of Allotment 65, Parish of
Takapuna, bounded on the north-west by Rawene Street, on
the north-east by Hauraki Street, and on the south by other
part of Allotment 65 aforesaid.

Consenting to a Body Corporate borrowing Money and authorizing
Payment to the Committee of Management.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 26th day
of April, 1927.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and thirty-five of
the Native Land Act, 1909, it is provided that, with
the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council, a
body corporate constituted under Part XVII of the said Act
may, on the security of a mortgage or charge of the land
vested in it, borrow money for any of the purposes therein
mentioned:
And whereas the body corporate constituted as aforesaid
described in the Schedule hereto has applied for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council accordingly,
and also that consent be given to any money so borrowed
being paid to the committee of management of such body corporate:
And whereas the Tairawhiti District Native Land Court
has recommended that such consent be granted, and it seems
expedient so to do:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby, pursuant to section three hundred and thirty-five of
the Native Land Act, 1909, and all other powers him enabling,
grant precedent consent to the said body corporate, on the
security of a mortgage or charge of the land vested in it,
borrowing from a State Loan Department, or from any person
or body corporate, whether by cash credit in current account
with a bank or otherwise, for the purpose of enabling the said
body corporate to improve and more efficiently farm the
lands of the said body corporate, the sum set out hereunder
opposite the name of such body corporate; and doth authorize
the payment of any money so borrowed to the committee of
management of the said body corporate through the Tairawhiti
District Maori Land Board.
