Crown Land set apart for the Purposes of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

HUTT VALLEY SETTLEMENT.

ALL those pieces or parcels of land in the Borough of Lower Hutt, situated in the Wellington Land District, being Sections 17 to 23 and 29 to 46, all inclusive, of Block XLIX, Sections 1 to 8, 10 to 31, 33 to 37, and 39 to 58, all inclusive, of Block L; Sections 1 to 3, 5 to 10, and 14 to 28, all inclusive, of Block LI, of the Hutt Valley Settlement, and being portion of Section 12, Hutt Registration District, Block XIV, Belmont Survey District; as the same are delineated on plan numbered 169/7, deposited in the Wellington District Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon bordered green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of March, 1927.

Change of Name of Locality “Maxwelltown” to “Maxwell.”

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS settlers in the locality known as “Maxwelltown,” in the County of Waitotara, desire that the name of such locality should be changed to “Maxwell,” and it is considered expedient to alter the same :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Designation of Districts Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the name of the locality known as “Maxwelltown,” in the County of Waitotara, shall be and the same is hereby altered to “Maxwell,” and do assign the last-mentioned name to such locality accordingly; and also do hereby proclaim and declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on the first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, not being earlier than six months after the first publication thereof in the Gazette.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of January, 1927.
