Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Manurewa Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913.

Declaration of Result of Poll on a Loan Proposal.

Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that, at a poll of ratepayers of the Manurewa Town District on a loan proposal to augment by £7,500 the existing loan authorities in respect of the Great South Road, taken on the 2nd day of December, 1926—

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 52; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 4.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Dated at Manurewa, this 6th day of December, 1926.

THE following special order made by the Kowai County Council merging the Amberley Town District is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920.

SPECIAL ORDER DECLARING THE AMBERLEY TOWN BOARD TO BE DISSOLVED AND THE TOWN DISTRICT OF AMBERLEY MERGED IN THE KOWAI COUNTY.

WHEREAS a petition has been duly presented to the Kowai County Council signed by a majority of the ratepayers of the Amberley Town District possessing in the aggregate not less than one-half the rateable property in such town district, praying the Council to abolish such district, and such petition has been duly published:

And whereas the Kowai County Council, having considered such petition, is of opinion that the prayer of such petition should be granted:

Now, therefore, the Kowai County Council doth hereby make and ordain the following special order—namely, that the Amberley Town Board be dissolved, and that the Amberley Town District be merged in the Kowai County.

This special order was passed at a special meeting of the Kowai County Council held on the 18th day of October, 1926, and confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Council held on the 15th day of November, 1926, and the Common Seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Kowai County Council was hereto affixed, this 15th day of November, 1926, by order of the said Council in the presence of

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1,798 ; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 1,286 ; informal votes, 26.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
