Portion of Hunt Street, in the City of Dunedin, exempted from
the provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 18th day of
October, 1926.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE W. DOWNIE STEWART PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution
passed by the Dunedin City Council on the eleventh day of
August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, viz.:--
"That the Council of the City of Dunedin hereby resolves
that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen
of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to all that
portion of both sides of that street in the City of Dunedin
known as Hunt Street where such street abuts on part of
Sections 6 and 328R, Block III, Anderson's Bay District,
as the said portion of the said street is more particularly
shown by blue colour on the plan hereunto annexed";
such portion of street being described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
All that portion of street, situated in the Otago Land District,
City of Dunedin, known as Hunt Street, fronting part Sections
6 and 328R, Block III, Anderson's Bay District. As the said
portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 67293, deposited in the office of the Minister
of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District,
and thereon coloured blue.

The Southern Side of Nisbet Road, in the County of Rangitikei,
exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public
Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 22nd day
of October, 1926.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE W. DOWNIE STEWART PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in any-
wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution
passed by the Rangitikei County Council on the seventh day
of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six,
viz.:--
"That the Rangitikei County Council hereby declares
that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen
of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the
southern side of the road in the Rangitikei County known
as Nisbet Road from its junction with the Cliff Road
(Bull's-Taumarunu Main Highway) along the northern
boundary of Section XXXI to the western boundary of
Section XXV, Rangitikei District";
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the southern
side of Nisbet Road (described in the Schedule hereto), within
a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said
road.
SCHEDULE.
The southern side of all that road, situated in the Wellington
Land District, County of Rangitikei, known as Nisbet Road,
fronting part Block XXXI, Rangitikei District, being part
Lot 3 on D.P. 4710, Block XVI, Wangaehu Survey District.
As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on
the plan marked P.W.D. 67324, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington
Land District, and thereon coloured blue.

The South-western Side of Portion of Durie Street, in the City
of Wanganui, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of
the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the
Building-line.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 18th day
of October, 1926.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in any-
wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-

passed by the Wanganui City Council on the tenth day of
August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, viz.:--
"That the Wanganui City Council, having control of
the street known as Durie Street, hereby resolves that
section one hundred and seventeen, subsection one, of the
Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion
of the street fronting Section 46, a distance of 125 links";
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-
western side of the portion of Durie Street (described in the
Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from
the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
The south-western side of all that portion of street situated
in the Wellington Land District, City of Wanganui, known
as Durie Street, fronting Lot 46, Deeds plan 41, being part
Section 43, Left Bank, Wanganui River, and closed road.
As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated
on the plan marked P.W.D. 67038, deposited in the office
of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Welling-
ton Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Prescribing the Rate of Interest that may be paid by the Cook
County Council in respect of a Loan of Β£30,000, being a
Further Portion of a Loan of Β£153,000 authorized to be
raised for the Formation, Metalling, and Bitumen-sealing of
Roads, Renewal and Erection of Bridges, and the Purchase
of Roadmaking Machinery.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 18th day
of October, 1926.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE W. DOWNIE STEWART PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and fourteen of the
Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, it is provided that,
notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any Act or in any
rule of law, where a local authority or public body has been
authorized before the passing of the said Act, or is thereafter
authorized, to borrow money, whether pursuant to a poll of
ratepayers or otherwise howsoever, whether the rate of interest
or the term of years of the loan was or was not specified or
determined, and such money or any part thereof has not
been borrowed, the local authority or public body may, with
the precedent consent of the Minister of Finance, borrow such
money, or such amount thereof as has not been borrowed, at
such rate of interest, or for such term, as may be prescribed
by the Governor-General by Order in Council.
And whereas the Cook County Council has been authorized
to borrow the sum of one hundred and fifty-three thousand
pounds for the formation, metalling, and bitumen-sealing of
roads, renewal and erection of bridges, and the purchase of
roadmaking machinery, and is now desirous of raising the
sum of thirty thousand pounds, being a further portion of
the loan of one hundred and fifty-three thousand pounds:
And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his prece-
dent consent as required by the above-recited section one
hundred and fourteen, and it is desired that the rate of
interest at which the money may be borrowed be not exceed-
ing five and three-quarters per centum per annum;
