Declaring that the Mangonui County Council shall exercise the Powers of a Harbour Board, and defining the Limits of the Port or Harbour of Awanui.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of October, 1926.

Present :
THE HONOURABLE W. DOWNIE STEWART PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is, among other things, provided by section eleven of the Harbours Act, 1923, that, on the request of the Council of a county bordering on any navigable river, estuary, or arm of the sea not under the control or management of any Harbour Board, or on the joint request of any two or more of such Councils, the Governor-General may, by Order in Council gazetted, declare that such Council or joint Councils shall, from a date to be fixed in such Order, exercise all the powers of a Harbour Board within such limits of the navigable river, estuary, or arm aforesaid as the Governor-General defines for that purpose :

And whereas the Council of the County of Mangonui, which borders on the port or harbour of Awanui, in the Mangonui County, has requested that it may be declared that it shall exercise all the powers of a Harbour Board within such port or harbour :

And whereas it is desirable that such request should be acceded to, and that the limits of such port or harbour should be defined as hereinafter appears :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that, from and after the first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, the said Council shall exercise the powers of a Harbour Board within the limits of the port or harbour hereinafter set forth, and which said port or harbour is called Awanui Harbour.

And in further pursuance and exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, His Excellency, with the advice and consent aforesaid, doth hereby define the limits of the said port or harbour within which the said Council is to exercise the powers aforesaid as follows, that is to say : All that area of tidal land and tidal water bounded as follows : Commencing at high-water mark of ordinary spring tides at a point where the northern boundary of the Opoe Survey District intersects the Otaia Beach ; thence by a right line to Blackney Point at ordinary high-water mark ; thence by ordinary high-water mark of Rangaunu Harbour to the commencing-point ; including within the said area all bays, inlets, tidal streams, and rivers flowing into the said harbour. As the said area is more particularly shown and delineated edged in blue on plan marked M.D. 6252, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Taupiri Mountain Domain.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of October, 1926.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Charles Matthew Gleeson,
William Henry,
Robert Thomas Hill,
William Anthony Lovell,
Gerald William Miller,
George Powell, sen.,
Arthur Henry Waring, and
Thomas Tristan Alfred Arthur White

to be the Taupiri Mountain Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby appoint Tuesday, the second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, at half past two o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Taupiri Hall as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.β€”TAUPIRI MOUNTAIN DOMAIN.
Sections 78 to 87 inclusive, Taupiri Town, Block IV, Newcastle Survey District : Area, 4 acres 2 roods 38 perches, more or less.

Allotment 481, Taupiri Parish : Area, 162 acres 2 roods, more or less.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Selwyn Domain.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of October, 1926.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-seven of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

The Tamaki Road Board

to be the Selwyn Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby appoint Thursday, the eleventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, at eight o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Tamaki Road Board's Office, St. Heliers, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

SELWYN DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres 1 rood 25Β·2 perches, more or less, being Lot 27 in D.P. 19137, being part of Allotments 32 and 40A, District of Tamaki, Block IX, Rangitoto Survey District, Eden County : as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/837, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Kaikohe Town District not to be Part of County of Bay of Islands.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of October, 1926.

Present :
THE HONOURABLE W. DOWNIE STEWART PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Governor-General is satisfied that the population of the Kaikohe Town District, in the County of Bay of Islands, exceeds five hundred, and the Town Board of the said Kaikohe Town District has made application that the town district shall not form part of the County of Bay of Islands, being the county within the boundaries of which it is situated :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Town Boards Amendment Act, 1908 (No. 2), and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that, on and after the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, the Kaikohe Town District shall not form part of the County of Bay of Islands.
