Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—ROTORUA FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

State Forest No. 77.—Extension of Kaingaroa Plantation.

ALL that area of land in the Auckland Land District, being part of Run No. 57, situated in Blocks XI, XII, XV, and XVI, Kaingaroa Survey District, Blocks IX and XIII, Galatea Survey District, III and IV, Weao Survey District, and I, Ahikereru Survey District, and containing by admeasurement 13,500 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north generally by the Galatea Road; towards the east generally and north by subdivisions of the Karatia Block, 301·8, 2199·5, 1463·2, 314·7, 676·1, 772·0, 681·4, 1706·4, 1459·6, 440·7, 525·2, 1701·5, 2905·7, 2566·4, 1895·8, 2738·7, 1566·4, 2150·4, and 1706·5 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 235·1 and 179·2 links; towards the south-west and south-east by a post-office site, 200 and 495·1 links; towards the south-west by the Te Whaiti Road, 253 and 399·5 links; across that road; towards the south-east, north-east, and north-west by Section 2 of Block XVI, Kaingaroa Survey District, 1580, 3731·5, and 2101 links; across a road to the Rangitaiki River; towards the east generally by that river; towards the south-west by Run No. 58 (permanent State Forest, Gazette 1926, page 2153), 25611·5 and 8576·4 links; towards the north-west by the Kaingaroa State Forest (Gazette, 1911, page 3567), 17888·9 links; across the aforesaid Te Whaiti Road, and again towards the north-west and south-west by the aforesaid Kaingaroa State Forest (Gazette, 1911, page 3567), 14514·9, 13689·9, and 957·1 links, to the Galatea Road at the place of commencement: save and excepting two roads within the above-described boundaries: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan No. 47/9, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service in Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Auckland Survey Office plan, 24162.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of October, 1926.

Proclaiming Native Land to have become Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native Land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, and its amendments:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has become Crown land.

SCHEDULE.

SUBDIVISIONS 2 and 3, Section 23B, part Puketotara Native Reserve No. 3, Grey District, Block V, Paritutu Survey District: Approximate area, 16 acres 1 rood 25 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of September, 1926.
