(24.) Empty Cases for Carriage of Fruit, and Shooks for Manufacture of Fruit-cases.
- Empty cases, manufactured from New Zealand timber, and crates containing empty punnets, consigned direct to fruitgrowers’ agents or associations approved by the Board of Management of the New Zealand Government Railways, Wellington, and bona fide fruitgrowers—not “returned empties,” but to be reconsigned over the railway full, and, when so reconsigned, to contain only New-Zealand-grown fresh fruit—will be charged at the rate for returned empties (paragraph 6, Regulation 23, Part III).
Shooks, New Zealand timber, not exceeding 3 ft. in length, in bundles, consigned direct from mills to fruitgrowers’ agents or associations approved by the Board of Management of the New Zealand Government Railways, Wellington, and bona fide fruitgrowers for manufacture of cases to be used solely for carriage by rail of New-Zealand-grown fresh fruit, will be charged half rates, Class C, or Class K, whichever is the cheaper.

Consignments under this heading will be conveyed at owner’s risk.

Consignment-notes for empty cases, and shooks, carried under this regulation are to be endorsed by senders as follows :—

, and are to be used solely for packing New-Zealand-grown fresh fruit to be conveyed by rail.
- All loading and unloading must be performed by the owners.
Insert fruitgrowers’ agent, fruitgrowers’ association, or bona fide fruitgrower, as the case may be.
PART IV.—LOCAL RATES.
NORTH ISLAND MAIN LINE AND BRANCHES.
By adding the following :—
Imported Timber : Wellington to Petone or Lower Hutt.
Imported timber loaded direct into railway trucks at Wellington wharves for Petone or Lower Hutt will be charged 1s. per 100 superficial feet. Minimum loads as per paragraph 1, Regulation 7, Part III.
Glaxo : Bunnythorpe–Wellington.
Glaxo packed from Bunnythorpe to Wellington will be charged 30s. 11d. per ton.
PART V.—CLASSIFICATION OF GOODS, LIVE-STOCK, ETC.
By omitting the following :—
Fodder molasses, for feeding stock, not otherwise specified .. D
Fodder molasses for feeding stock, New Zealand manufacture .. E

New Zealand Fruit-export Control Board.—Declaration of Result of Election of Producers’ Representative for the Auckland-Taranaki Provincial Districts.
I, ROBERT WILLIAMSON ATKINSON, Returning Officer for the purposes of the Fruit Control Act, 1924, and the regulations made thereunder, hereby declare the result of the poll taken on Monday, the 6th day of September, 1926, for the election of a producers’ representative on the New Zealand Fruit-export Control Board for the Provincial Districts of Auckland and Taranaki to be as follows :—

I therefore declare the said Henry Stratton Izard to be elected.

I, ROBERT WILLIAMSON ATKINSON, Returning Officer for the purposes of the Fruit Control Act, 1924, and the regulations made thereunder, hereby declare the result of the poll taken on Monday, the 6th day of September, 1926, for the election of a producers’ representative on the New Zealand Fruit-export Control Board for the Provincial Districts of Canterbury, Nelson, and Marlborough to be as follows :—
