THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £20,000, authorized to be raised by the Gisborne Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the installation of an additional unit at the Council’s electric light and power station, £20,000, the said Gisborne Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five thirty-seconds of 1d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Gisborne, comprising the whole of the Borough of Gisborne as described in the New Zealand Gazette of 15th October, 1925, No. 71; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of February and the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

OPOTIKI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Opotiki County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Opotiki County Waioeka Bridge Loan of £7,000, 1925, authorized to be raised by the Opotiki County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of renewing in concrete a traffic-bridge across the Waioeka River at a point adjacent to Bridge Street, Opotiki, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth (1/8th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Opotiki; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

TAUMARUNUI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

ONGARUE RIVER BRIDGE LOAN £1,600.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling the Taumarunui Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking-fund, and other charges on the Taumarunui Borough Ongarue River Bridge of £1,600, 1925, authorized to be raised by the Taumarunui Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing the Council’s share of cost of erecting bridge over the Ongarue River at Taumarunui, as authorized by and more fully set forth in the Schedule of a Warrant dated the 25th day of November, 1925, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General under the provisions of section 119 of the Public Works Act, 1908, and gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette on the 26th day of November, 1925, on page 3278, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixth (1/6th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Taumarunui; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £710,000, authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the formation and improvement of various streets, the paving and improvement of other streets, the widening, improvement, and paving of Quay Street, all in the City of Auckland, and the provision of plant, machinery, and accessories for street-work, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of sevenpence halfpenny (7½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 33 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
