Amending Restricted Limits for the Port of Gisborne.

Marine Department,
Wellington, 2nd February, 1926.

WHEREAS by Warrant dated the 18th day of August, 1922, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 63 of the 24th day of the same month, limits were defined for the Port of Gisborne within which restricted-limit steamships and ships propelled by mechanical power other than steam, and to which restricted-limit certificates are issued, might apply :

And whereas it is desirable that the limits therein defined for the Port of Gisborne be amended :

Now, therefore, I, George James Anderson, Minister of Marine, in pursuance and exercise of the power conferred upon me by section 189 of the Shipping and Seamen Act, 1908, do hereby revoke the aforesaid Warrant of the 18th day of August, 1922, in so far as it defines the extended river limits of the Port of Gisborne, and do hereby define the following limits in substitution thereof:—

Extended River Limits.—All those waters commencing at the eastern extreme of the foreshore at Whareongaonga; thence by a line 090° for a distance of three nautical miles; thence by a straight line to Tuahina Point Lighthouse.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-order and Transmission of Postal Correspondence in New Zealand for Miss Olive Brailey, 3 Arden Street, Waverley, New South Wales.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having reasonable ground for supposing that the person whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said person (either by her own or any fictitious or assumed name), or addressed to the address in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Hauraki Plains Rating District.—Penalty on Overdue Rates.

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 4th February, 1926.

IN pursuance of section 28 of the Rating Amendment Act, 1910, and the Hauraki Plains Act, 1908, the ratepayers within the district constituted by the last-mentioned Act are hereby notified that 10 per cent. additional will be added to all rates for the year ended 31st March, 1926, unpaid on the 25th March, 1926. Rates may be paid at any money-order office or to the Collector of Rates, Box 1659, Auckland.

of the Public Trust Office, Wellington, to be Deputy of the District Public Trustee, Wellington, during the absence of such District Public Trustee from his headquarters.
