Redefining Boundaries of the City of Wanganui, the Counties of Wanganui and Waitotara, the Mangawhero and Kaukatea Ridings of the County of Wanganui, and the Westmere and Brunswick Ridings of the County of Waitotara.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the City of Wanganui are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said city having been altered by Orders in Council dated the 28th day of May, 1926, made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and published in Gazette No. 35 of the 28th day of May, 1926.

And also in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the Counties of Wanganui and Waitotara affected by the said Orders in Council dated the 28th day of May, 1926, are hereby defined as set out under their respective headings in the Second Schedule hereto.

And in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the Mangawhero and Kaukatea Ridings of the County of Wanganui and of the Westmere and Brunswick Ridings of the County of Waitotara affected by the said Orders in Council dated the 28th day of May, 1926, are hereby defined as set out under their respective headings in the Third Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF CITY OF WANGANUI.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Lot 9 on plan 2223 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Original Section 30, right bank Wanganui River, to the right bank of the said river; thence south-westerly generally down that river to the sea, and north-westerly along the sea-coast to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 461 on plan 3060 deposited as aforesaid; thence north-easterly to and along the north-western boundary of Lot 461 to its northernmost corner; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 461, 460, 459, 458, and 457 on plan 3060 aforesaid to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence by the production of the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 457, across a public road, to the south-western boundary of Lot 519 on plan 4912 deposited as aforesaid; thence along the south-western and north-western boundaries of the said Lot 519 to its northernmost corner; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of the land shown on plan 4912, to the north-western boundary of Lot 1 on plan 4913 deposited as aforesaid; thence north-easterly and south-easterly along the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of the land shown on plan 4913 aforesaid to the north-western side of Waitai Street; thence along lines bearing 145° 19′ distance 1550 links, bearing 145° 23′ distance 640 links; thence along a line bearing 108° 31′ to its intersection with the north-eastern boundary of the land shown on plans 4242 and 3943 deposited as aforesaid; thence south-easterly along that boundary to the northern side of the Town Belt; thence south-easterly along the northern boundary of the Town Belt to the westernmost corner of Lot 93 on plan 1863 deposited as aforesaid; thence easterly along the northern boundary of Lot 93 aforesaid to Mosstown Road; thence across that road, and north-easterly along its eastern side to the south-western corner of the land shown on Deeds plan 250, and containing 36 acres 2 roods, being part of Section 227, right bank Wanganui River; thence easterly generally along the southern boundaries of that land to the south-western corner of Lot 7A on plan 2139 deposited as aforesaid; thence northerly, easterly, and again northerly along the western boundaries generally of Lots 7A, 7, 5A, 5, and 3 on plan 2139 aforesaid to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by a right line to the south-western corner of Lot 7 on plan 2006 deposited as aforesaid; thence northerly along the western boundary of the said Lot 7 to its north-western corner; thence south-easterly along the southern side of Fox Street and Fitzherbert Avenue to Carlton Avenue; thence north-westerly and north-easterly along the south-western and north-western sides of Carlton Avenue and Town Belt Road respectively to the southernmost point of Lot 5 as shown on plan 2276 deposited as aforesaid; thence north-westerly by the south-western boundary of said Lot 5 to its westernmost corner, north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of said Lot 5 and of Lot 3 of said plan 2276 to the easternmost corner of Lot 1 as shown on plan 768 deposited as aforesaid; thence easterly generally along the northern boundaries of said Lot 24 and Lots 25, 42, and 43 on said plan 258 to the north-western boundary of Original Section 18 of said Block V; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Section 18 to its north-eastern corner; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of Original Sections 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23 to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of the said Section 23 to the Tutahiheka Stream; thence generally easterly along the middle of that stream to the western boundary of the land shown on plan A/347 deposited as aforesaid; thence southerly along that boundary for a distance of 300 links to the north-western boundary of the land shown on plan A/150 deposited as aforesaid; thence north-easterly along that boundary to the south-western boundary of the land shown on Deeds plan 302; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 on said plan 302 to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned Lot; thence along the north-western boundary of that lot to Roberts Avenue; thence across Roberts Avenue and northerly along its eastern side to the north-western corner of Lot 13 on the said Deeds plan 302; thence along the northern boundary of that lot to its north-eastern corner; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 13, 14, and 15 of the said plan 302 to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 26 of the said plan;
