and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during
ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of the said land must state their objections in writing,
and send the same within forty (40) days from the first pub-
lication of this notice to the Clerk of the said Council at the
said office.
SCHEDULE.
Approximate area of the parcel of land required to be
taken: 2 roods 39 perches, being portion of Allotment 52
of the Parish of Matata; coloured on plan red. Situated
in the County of Whakatane.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Nelson City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking
fund and other charges (if any) on a loan of £8,000, autho-
rized to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting a traffic-bridge
over the Maitai River, Trafalgar Street, Nelson, the Nelson
City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one
penny in the pound upon the rateable value (being the annual
value) of all rateable property within the City of Nelson,
comprising the whole of the said City of Nelson as defined
by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920; and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable yearly in one sum on
the 23rd day of July in each and every year during the cur-
rency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until
the said loan is fully paid off.

TAKAPUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Takapuna
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Takapuna
Borough Street improvement Loan of £7,500, being the
statutory 10 per cent. additional to a loan of £75,000,
authorized to be raised by the Takapuna Borough Council
under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of—
(a.) Widening and supporting Matine Parade and
construction and improvements of Marine
Parade, King Edward Avenue, Victoria
Road, Lake Road, Hurstmere Road, Kit-
chener Road, Shakespeare Road, Taharoto
Road, Anzac Street, the Terrace, and East
Coast Road; and kerbing channelling,
forming footpaths, and provision of im-
proved storm-water drainage for the said
streets

(b.) Purchase of machinery and plant required in
connection with the said work

(c.) Acquisition by purchase or taking with com-
pensation of land within the borough for
the purpose of quarry-sites

(such latter amount being insufficient to complete the works
for which such loan was raised) the said Takapuna Borough
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eighty-
thousandths (80/1000ths) of a penny in the pound sterling
on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of
all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Takapuna;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all
other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Christchurch
City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on the Christchurch City Workers’
Dwellings Loan of £15,000, 1926, No. 2, authorized to be
raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting workers’ dwellings
and the construction of works necessary and incidental thereto,
or to advance money to a worker to enable him to erect a
workers’s dwelling on any land of which he is the owner, or
to acquire land to erect a worker’s dwelling thereon, the said
Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of five-hundred-and-one fifteen-thousand-six-hundred-and
twenty-fifths (501/15625ths) of a penny in the pound on the
rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of August in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or
until the loan is fully paid off.

DANNEVIRKE COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Danne-
virke County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
Loan of £250.
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Dannevirke
County Wi Duncan’s Road Special-rating Area Loan of £250,
1926, authorized to be raised by the Dannevirke County
Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of
metalling Wi Duncan’s Road from end of present metalled
road to end of formed road opposite C. Price’s house, and
the formation, culverting, and metalling of road from Price’s
gate to end of surveyed road, the said Dannevirke County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one half-
penny (½d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on
the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in
the Wi Duncan’s Road Special-rating Area in the County of
Dannevirke, being described as follows:—
All that area comprising Sections part 2A 32D, part Section
1 2A 32E, 2A 32C, 2 of part 2A 32E, part 2A 32E, part 2A
32A, 2A 32B, part 2A 32A, part 2A 32D,—
and that such special rate shall be any annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the
1st day of September in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half
(36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Loan of £450.
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Dannevirke
County Te Uri Special-rating Area Loan of £450, 1926, autho-
rized to be raised by the Dannevirke County Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing
metalling portion of Te Uri Road, between Dampney’s house
and boundary between Patangata and Dannevirke Counties,
the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one
halfpenny (½d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value
(on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
in the Te Uri Road Special-rating Area, in the County of
Dannevirke, being all that area comprising Sections 3, half of 2
of Block VIII, and Section 2 of Block XII, Mangatoro Survey
District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recur-
ring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable
yearly on the first day of September in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six
and a half (36½) years or until the loan is fully paid off.
