I, ROBERT TURNBULL HAY, M.B., Bac. Surg., Univ. Otago, 1926, now residing in Stoke, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 6th August next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Department of Health at Wellington.

In the matter of a Bill intituled “An Act to provide for the Vesting in the Presbyterian Church Property Trustees constituted under the Provisions of the Presbyterian Church Property Act, 1885, of certain Lands being Part of Town Reserves of Christchurch freed from certain Restrictions or Reservations to which such Lands are now subject.”
NOTICE is hereby given that application is intended to be made by petition to the General Assembly of New Zealand for leave to bring in a Private Bill during the present Session of Parliament to be called “The Presbyterian Church Reserves (Canterbury) Act, 1926.”
The object of the Petition and proposed Bill is:—
- To vest in the Presbyterian Church Property Trustees—
(a.) All that parcel of land, containing 3 roods 20 perches, bounded on the north-west by Hagley Avenue, on the south by Tuam Street, and on the east by Antigua Street, forming a rectangular block.
(b.) Also all that parcel of land, containing 2 acres 0 roods 20 perches, bounded on the north by Tuam Street, on the east by Antigua Street, on the west by Hagley Avenue, and on the south and south-west by Lot 1 of the Christchurch Town Reserves,—
freed from the restriction at present existing on the title to the said lands, providing that the said lands shall be used and occupied as a site for a church and schools and for the residence of a clergyman and schoolmaster in connection with the Free Church of Scotland, and that if the said lands were not so used and occupied the same should revert to His Most Gracious Majesty the King.
Copies of the said petition and proposed Bill have been deposited in the Office of the Examiner of Standing Orders, Wellington, before or within fourteen days after the commencement of the present session of the General Assembly, and may now be seen at the offices of the undersigned, being the solicitors acting for and on behalf of the PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH PROPERTY TRUSTEES and the DEACONS COURT of ST. ANDREW’S CHURCH, Christchurch.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held at Reefton on the 27th day of May, 1926, the following special resolution was passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the said company duly convened and held at Reefton on the 24th day of June, 1926, the said resolution was duly confirmed, viz.:—
That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, and that MARCIA NEALE McVICAR, of Blackwater, Married Woman, the Secretary of the company, be and she is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

The business will in future be carried on by JOHN MEREDITH PEARSON, who will receive and discharge all liabilities of the late firm.

I, KATHARINE BAYARD DOUGLAS SOBEY, formerly of New Plymouth, in the Dominion of New Zealand, but now of Paso Robles, in the State of California, in the United States of America, Married Woman (whose maiden name was Katharine Douglas), hereby give notice that by deed poll dated the 6th day of July, 1926, and duly enrolled in the Supreme Court of New Zealand at New Plymouth, I assumed and adopted, and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the Christian names of “Bayard Douglas” in addition to my Christian name of “Katharine,” and my said surname of “Sobey,” and so as to be at all times thereafter called and known and described by the names of “Katharine Bayard Douglas Sobey.”

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the KAITUNA BOWLING AND LAWN-TENNIS CLUB COMPANY (LIMITED) held at Dunedin on the 24th day of November, 1925, it was resolved that the company be wound up voluntarily. This resolution was confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting of the company held on the 14th day of December, 1925, and it was resolved that Mr. H. F. SINCOCK be appointed Liquidator in an honorary capacity, and that he should have power to transfer the assets of the company to the KAITUNA BOWLING CLUB after the club was incorporated, subject to the club’s entering into an undertaking to take over all the company’s liabilities at the time such assets are transferred.
