passed by the Wellington City Council on the eighteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, viz. :—
“ The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the western side of that portion of Wright Street beginning at a point approximately 4 chains from Carring- ton Street, and extending for a distance of 126·26 links, being part of road fronting Lots 9 and 10, provisional D.P. 7550, being part of Town Section 705, City of Wellington ” ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the western side of the portion of Wright Street (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre- line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
THE western side of all that portion of street, situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Wright Street, fronting Lots 9 and 10, provisional D.P. 7550, being part Town Section 705, City of Wellington. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 65956, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Withdrawing Land from the Operation of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of July, 1926.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty-two of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor- General may, by Order in Council gazetted, on the recommendation of the Land Board, declare that any land comprised in a kauri-gum reserve shall, from a date to be specified in the Order, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and on and after the date so specified the land to which the Order relates shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924 :
And whereas the Land Board of the North Auckland Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that part of the Ruarangi Kauri-gum Reserve as described in the Schedule hereto be excepted from the operations of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation :
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section one hundred and sixty-two of the Land Act, 1924, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the part of the Ruarangi Kauri-gum Reserve as described in the Schedule hereto, shall from the twenty-fourth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 251 acres, more or less, being Allotments 58 and 59, Parish of Ruarangi, and being portion of the Ruarangi Kauri-gum Reserve as described in the New Zealand Gazette of 1898, page 2075. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 9/1709, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Regulations under the Census and Statistics Act, 1910.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Census and Statistics Act, 1910, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following regulations prescribing additional matter in regard to which the Statistician shall collect statistics.
REGULATIONS.

EVERY farmer, broker, merchant, owner of store, woollen- mill proprietor, owner of meat-freezing works, owner of wool- scouring and fellmongering works, and every other person storing or who may store wool shall, upon request and within such time or times as he may be required by the Statistician so to do, furnish to the Statistician or to any person appointed by him in writing the particulars set out in the Schedule hereto, and shall sign the form and transmit it by post or otherwise to the Statistician or to the officer appointed by him in writing.

These regulations shall apply to all managers or agents of the persons enumerated in paragraph 1 above.

Opening Settlement Lands in Auckland Land District for Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the settlement lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the twenty-third day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule ; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.
