PURSUANT to the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908,
the following names of Officiating Ministers within the
meaning of the said Act are published for general informa-
tion :—

Officiating Ministers have been removed from the list
of Officiating Ministers under the Marriage Act, 1908, by
request :—

Land Surveyors’ Examination, September, 1926, Australia
and New Zealand.
The Surveyors Board of New Zealand,
Wellington, 14th June, 1926.
IT is hereby notified, for general information, that the
Surveyors Board, in conjunction with the Australian
Surveyors Boards will conduct an examination of candidates
for licenses to survey, commencing at 10 a.m. on Monday,
27th September, 1926, at Wellington.
Candidates are notified that their applications, on the
proper form, must reach the Secretary of the Board not later
than Thursday, 16th September, and that the examination
fee of £1 1s. must be paid at the same time to the Secretary,
from whom examination regulations, application forms, and
other particulars may be obtained. Candidates desiring to
sit in other centres than Wellington must forward a double
fee of £2 2s. ; only those completing may do this.
At this examination, candidates sitting for the first time
will be accepted, as well as those completing former sittings.

Notice to Mariners No. 27 of 1926.
NEW ZEALAND—SOUTH ISLAND.—EAST COAST.—OAMARU
HARBOUR.

New Lighted Leading-beacons to be installed and Existing
Beacons to be discontinued.
THE Oamaru Harbour Board notify that on the evening
of Friday, 25th June, 1926, two new lighted leading-
beacons, situated 200 ft. westward of the existing beacons
and of the undermentioned descriptions will be installed and
come into operation :—
Both beacons are diamond-shaped, and black and white
chequered in colour, and are 135 ft. apart.
From the centre of the front beacon at a height of 90 ft.
will be exhibited one fixed white light.
From the centre of the rear beacon at a height of 120 ft.
will be exhibited one fixed green light.
The front and rear beacons, in transit 213°, clear the spit
at the breakwater-end by 120 ft., and the south-east
corner of Holmes Wharf by 140 ft.
Both lights are visible from 168°, through south, to 258°
and have a range of visibility of three miles.
The existing white-painted beacons having a vertical black
central stripe, in transit 207°, will be removed.

Notice to Mariners No. 28 of 1926.
SOUTH PACIFIC OCEAN.—TONGA ISLANDS.—NIUE (OR SAVAGE)
ISLAND.

Alofi Leading-lights changed and Occasional Light installed.
THE Resident Commissioner at Niue Island advises as
follows :—
ALOFI, BEACON LIGHTS.
Permanent fixed lights, in transit 095½°, are exhibited from
the leading-beacons, the front beacon showing a red and the
rear a green light.
ALOFI, OCCASIONAL LIGHT INSTALLED.
A fixed white light, occasional, at a height of 70 ft. above
ground and 170 ft. above high water, is exhibited from the
flagstaff situated 120 yards southward of Alofi leading-beacons.
Masters of approaching ships desiring this light to be shown
must communicate with the Resident Commissioner by wireless
to that effect in ample time to allow of this being done. The
times of the daily wireless listening services performed at
Niue radio station are from 1200 to 1300 and from 1800 to
2400.
It is suggested that vessels approaching Alofi at night should
do so with Alofi occasional light 110° until the leading-beacon
lights are in transit 095½°.
