Lands in the Taranaki Land District forfeited.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Taranaki Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Nelson Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.

LEASE No. P.L. 11, Sections 62, 65, Block X, Reefton Survey District. Formerly held by Thomas John Gilmer. Reason for forfeiture: Non-compliance with conditions of lease.

Reserve in Nelson Land District for Lease by Public Tender.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Nelson, 24th December, 1925.

NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders marked on the outside “Tender for lease” will be received at this office up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, 17th February, 1926, for a lease of the undermentioned section, in accordance with the provisions of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and amendments.

SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 47, Town of Murchison. Area: 1 acre 3 roods 8 perches. Minimum annual rental, £1 10s.

Situated with a frontage to the main street of Murchison. All flat land with creek running through. Overrun with fern and blackberry.

Terms and Conditions of Lease.

  1. The lease shall be for a term of five years, commencing from the first day of July, 1926.

  2. One year’s rent at the rate offered, together with £1 1s. lease fee, to accompany each tender. Rent for broken period from date of acceptance of tender to 30th June, 1926, is also payable.

  3. Lessee shall have no right of renewal, nor shall any compensation be claimed for improvements effected.

  4. The Commissioner of Crown Lands reserves the right to terminate the lease on giving one week’s notice in the event of the land being required by the Defence Department in case of emergency.

  5. Lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of broom, gorse, and noxious weeds and shall with all reasonable despatch, remove, or cause to be removed, all noxious weeds now growing upon the said land.

  6. Lessee shall pay all rates, taxes, and other assessments.

Education Reserve in the Wellington Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 19th January, 1926.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserve will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, at 2.30 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, the 24th February, 1926, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1908, and amendments, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

Waimarino County.—Manganui Survey District.

SECTION 5, Block X: Area, 500 acres; upset annual rental, £60. Term of lease, twenty-one years, with perpetual right of renewal.

This section is situated on the right bank of the Manganui-a-te-Ao Stream, rising to watershed. Access is from Raetihi by about eleven miles and a half of metalled dray-road, one mile of formed road, and half a mile of horse-track. Comprises 200 acres of bush (tawa, rimu, tawhero, and a few totaras), remainder felled and grassed, but reverting to second growth and fern; 200 acres undulating; remainder hilly. Soil is of fair quality, resting on clay. Elevation ranges from 1,000 ft. to 2,400 ft.

Abstract of Terms and Conditions of Lease.

  1. A half-year’s rent at the rate offered, and lease and registration fee (£2 2s.) to be paid on the fall of the hammer.

  2. Term of lease as stated.

  3. Rent of renewal lease to be fixed by arbitration. If lessee does not desire a new lease at the end of any term, land to be leased by auction. The incoming lessee to pay the value (to be handed over to the outgoing lessee) of the improvements effected with the consent of the Land Board. Failing disposal, the land and improvements to revert to the Crown without compensation.

  4. Land Board to approve of improvements proposed.

  5. No transfer or sublease allowed without the consent of the Land Board.

  6. Interest at the rate of 10 per cent. per annum to be paid on all rent in arrear.
