Mining Privileges to be struck off the Register.—Notice under the Mining Amendment Act, 1914.
Mining Registrar’s Office, Hokitika and Kumara, 4th January, 1926.
NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of section 30 (3) of the Mining Amendment Act, 1914, that the mining privileges mentioned in the Schedule hereto will, unless sufficient cause to the contrary be shown within three months from the date hereof, be struck off the Register.

Surveyors’ Examination.—Mathematics Paper.
The Surveyors’ Board of New Zealand,
Government Buildings, 13th January, 1926.
NOTICE is hereby given to all whom it may concern that the Surveyors’ Board will accept a pass in the special paper in mathematics, Engineering Preliminary Examination of the University of New Zealand, as set out on page 163 of the calendar for 1926 of the said University, as equivalent for the Board’s purposes to the mathematics of the Teachers’ C Examination, prescribed in Gazette No. 74, of the 26th June, 1919.

Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1925.—Income-tax payable.
BY Order in Council made and issued by His Excellency the Governor-General in Council on the 28th day of September, 1925, under the authority of the above Act, it was determined that the duty by way of income-tax, leviable under section 3 of the said Act, should be paid in one sum on Monday, the 8th day of February, 1926, at the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Government Buildings, Wellington; and, in accordance with such Order in Council, I hereby give notice that the said duty will be payable accordingly. Additional tax will accrue if the tax is not paid on or before 1st March, 1926. The liability to pay is not suspended by any objection. The tax should be paid on or before the prescribed date, otherwise the additional percentage accrues; any overpayment will be adjusted by refund.
The demands will be posted from the office of the Commissioner of Taxes on or about 31st January, 1926. Demands must be presented with all payments, and taxpayers who expect a demand and do not receive one should notify me of the fact.

Sale of Unclaimed Property.

IT is hereby notified that unclaimed property in the hands of the police at the various police stations will, if not claimed before the 31st January, 1926, be sold thereafter by public auction.
Particulars as to the time and place of sale may be obtained from the Superintendent or Inspector of Police in charge of the district.
