THE following regulations made by the Pharmacy Board of New Zealand, having been approved by His Excellency the Governor-General, are published in accordance with the Pharmacy Act, 1908.

REGULATIONS.

WHEREAS, by virtue of the powers vested in the Pharmacy Board of New Zealand by law, regulations were made by the said Board, and duly approved by the Governor-General in Council on the 23rd day of June, 1924, providing, inter alia, that the syllabus of examination for all candidates in Section A should be as from the 1st of July, 1925, be the same as that in the annual calendar of the New Zealand University for Matriculation :

And whereas it has been deemed advisable that the said regulations shall not apply to the candidates hereinafter mentioned :

Now, it is hereby declared that the regulations passed on the 23rd day of June, 1924, relating to the syllabus of examination for candidates in Section A shall not apply to those candidates who have already sat for and failed at any examination for Section A held under the syllabus set out in New Zealand Gazette of the 12th of October, 1914 (hereinafter referred to as “the old syllabus”), or who have served or are now serving under articles of apprenticeship commenced prior to 1st July, 1925, in accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Act, 1908, and its amendments, relating to apprentices, and any such candidates shall be entitled to be examined under the old syllabus at examinations to be held in the months of June and November, 1926, but not later.

Classification of Roads in the Collingwood County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Motor-lorry Regulations, 1925, and the Motor-lorry Regulations Amendment No. 1, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Minister of Public Works, do hereby approve of the Collingwood County Council’s proposed classification of roads as set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

CLASSIFICATION OF ROADS IN THE COLLINGWOOD COUNTY.

Roads classified in the Second Class (available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which, with the maximum load it is licensed to carry, weighs not more than 8 tons)—

Tasman Street, William Street, Elizabeth Street, Beach Road, Lewis Street, Collingwood–Rockville–Bainham Main Road to Nineteen Mile Creek, Cook’s Road, Stanton’s Creek Road, and Pah Road.

Roads classified in the Third Class (available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which, with the maximum load it is licensed to carry, weighs not more than 6 tons)—

Richmond–Collingwood Highways (Takaka Boundary to Fisher’s Creek), Collingwood–Pakawau Highway (White Bridge to Pakawau Bridge), Walker’s Road, Ferntown School Road, Swamp Road, Lower Kaituna Road, Kaituna–Ferntown Road, Cooper’s Road, Lammas’ Road, Onakaka Beach Road, Pakawau Bush Road, Mangarakau Road, and Paturau Road.

Roads classified in the Fourth Class (available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which, with the maximum load it is licensed to carry, weighs not more than 4 tons)—

Kaituna Left-hand Branch Road (Carter’s), Wallace’s Road, James’s Road, Pakawau–Puponga Road, Whararika Road.

Roads classified in the Fifth Class (available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which, with the maximum load it is licensed to carry, weighs not more than 2½ tons)—

Mackay’s Pass Road.

Classification of Roads in the Dannevirke County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Motor-lorry Regulations, 1925, and the Motor-lorry Regulations Amendment No. 1, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Minister of Public Works, do hereby approve of the Dannevirke County Council’s proposed classification of roads as set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

CLASSIFICATION OF ROADS IN THE DANNEVIRKE COUNTY.

Roads classified in the Third Class (available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which, with the maximum load it is licensed to carry, weighs not more than 6 tons)—

The Norsewood–Whetukura Highway and all that portion of Dannevirke–Waipukurau via Porangahau Highway between Mangatoro River and Weber County boundary within the County of Dannevirke.

Tiratu, Glengarry, and Piripiri Block Roads, Waitahora, Mangatoro Valley, Ongaha, Otope, Cross, Mangapuaka, Tutarewa, Mangahe, Piripiri, Maunga, Otanga, Tiratu, Victoria, Totaramoahanga, Wi Duncan’s, Tamaki East, Tamaki West, Rokai, Te Ohau, Centre, France’s, Matamau–Makotuku, Garfield, Gundrie’s, Magnussen’s, Pedersen’s, Norsewood–Makotuku, Makaretu River, Otawhao, Blairgowrie, Donghi’s, Ruanui, Rangitoto, Ahiweka, and Te Uri Roads, and that portion of Waikopiro Road between Whetukura and Mangapuaka Bridge within the County of Dannevirke.

Classification of Streets in the Dargaville Borough.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Motor-lorry Regulations, 1925, and the Motor-lorry Regulations, Amendment No. 1, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Minister of Public Works, do hereby alter the Dargaville Borough Council’s proposed classification of streets, and do hereby approve such altered classification as set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

CLASSIFICATION OF STREETS IN THE DARGAVILLE BOROUGH.

Streets classified in the Fourth Class (available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which, with the maximum load it is licensed to carry, weighs not more than 4 tons)—

  1. Dargaville–Aratapu Road from Kaihu Creek to borough boundary.
  2. Logan Street from Kaihu Creek to Mount Wesley Road.
  3. Murdock Street from its intersection with Dargaville–Aratapu Road to Colville Road.
  4. Colville Road from its commencement to borough boundary.
  5. Victoria Street from Kaihu Creek to Gladstone Street.
  6. Victoria Road from Gladstone Street to Grey Street.
  7. Grey Street from Jervois Street to Wairoa River Bridge.
  8. Normanby Street from Kaihu Creek to Awakino Road.
  9. Jervois Street from Awakino Road to borough boundary.
  10. Awakino Road from Victoria Street to borough boundary.
  11. Hokianga Road from Town Wharf to borough boundary.
  12. Valley Road from Hokianga Road to borough boundary.
  13. Beach Road from Normanby Street to borough boundary.

Roads classified in the Fifth Class (available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which, with the maximum load it is licensed to carry, weighs not more than 2½ tons)—

Dargaville–Maungaturoto Road from Wairoa River Bridge to county boundary.
