- The lessee shall keep all buildings in good condition and repair, and shall keep the land free from all noxious weeds and from rabbits to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Crown Lands; but the lessee may, on the expiration or sooner determination of the lease, remove all buildings or fences erected by him, but not otherwise.
- No compensation shall be given nor shall any be claimed for any improvements effected by the lessee during the currency of the lease.
- The lessor shall have the right to re-enter and determine the lease for the breach by the lessee of any of the covenants or conditions of the lease.
- The valuation for improvements, one half-year’s rent at the rate tendered, and £1 1s. lease fee must accompany tender.
- Tenders shall be endorsed on the outside “Tender for lease.”
- The highest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

STATE FOREST SERVICE NOTICE.
Portion of a State Forest in Otago Land District for Lease by Public Tender.
State Forest Service,
Christchurch, 27th May, 1926.
NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders for the lease of the undermentioned area in terms of the Forests Act, 1921–22, will close at my office, on Friday, 25th June, 1926, at 4 o’clock p.m.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 834 acres, more or less, being Sections 2, 3, 5, and 8, Block XIV, Lower Wanaka Survey District, Otago Land District (Forest Reserve No. 82).
Minimum annual rent, £25.
Term of lease, ten years.
CONDITIONS OF LEASE.
- The lessee shall keep down noxious weeds and destroy rabbits to the satisfaction of the Conservator of Forests.
- The annual rent shall be paid half-yearly in advance.
- No compensation shall be paid for any improvements which may be effected on the land.
- The lease shall be for the term stated above, but shall be subject to termination on twelve months’ notice should the land be required for afforestation purposes.
- The highest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
- The lease shall be subject to forfeiture if the lessee fails to fulfil any of the conditions thereof within thirty days after the date on which the same should have been fulfilled.
Each tender must be accompanied by a deposit of a half-year’s rent at the rate offered plus £1 1s. lease fee, and shall be enclosed in an envelope addressed to the undersigned and endorsed “Tender for lease.”
