Defining the Middle-line of a Road in Block VI, Piako Survey District—viz., a Deviation of the Pokeno-Waihi Main Highway.

A PROCLAMATION.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public Works Amendment Act, 1923, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the road desired to be constructed through Block VI, Piako Survey District—viz., a deviation of the Pokeno-Waihi Main Highway—shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

Commencing at a point marked 3 miles 48 chains on the Pokeno-Waihi Main Highway, about 2 chains east of the Waitakaruru Stream Bridge, and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly and then north-westerly direction, and passing in, into, through, or over part Section 69A, Section 68, and part Section 26, Maramarua Parish, Block VI, Piako Survey District, and terminating at a point marked 4 miles 70·5 chains on the said Pokeno-Waihi Main Highway; being a distance of 1 mile 22·5 chains, more or less : including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses.

In the Auckland Land District ; as the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 66117, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of May, 1926.

Land taken for the Purposes of the Construction of Electric Works in Block VI, Huiroa Survey District, County of Inglewood.

A PROCLAMATION.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of electric works, and shall vest in the Taranaki Electric-power Board as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six.
