Motueka River, by that river to the Graham River, and up
that river and its tributaries to Trig. Station F (Crusader);
thence by the boundary between the counties of Waimea
and Takaka to Section 17 in Block I of the Motueka Survey
District: thence down the Riwaka River to the east boundary
of Section 27 in Block IX, Kaiteriteri Survey District; thence
by the said Section 27, and by Sections 45 and 42 in Block VII,
Kaiteriteri Survey District, to Kairuru Road; thence by the
said road, by Sections 80 and 87 in Block VIII, Kaiteriteri
Survey District, and by a line across a road to the Holyoake's
Valley Stream; thence by that stream and the Otuthero
River to the point of commencement.
Christchurch Area.—Waimairi and Heathcote Counties and
Port Victoria Riding in the Mount Herbert County.
Rangiora Area.—All that portion of land contained in
Blocks I, II, V, and VI of the Rangiora Survey District.
Otago Area.—All that area in the Otago Land District
commencing at the south-eastern corner of Benger Survey
District, thence westerly along the southern boundary of
aforesaid district; thence northerly along the western bound-
aries generally of Benger, Teviot, Cairnhill, Fraserside,
Bannockburn, and Cromwell Survey Districts to the Vincent
County boundary; thence northerly along that boundary
to the Clutha River; thence south-easterly down the afore-
said river to the northern boundary of Tarras Survey Dis-
trict; thence easterly along that boundary; thence southerly
along the eastern boundaries of Tarras, Wakefield, and
Leaning Rock Survey Districts; thence easterly and southerly
along the northern and eastern boundaries of Cairnhill Survey
District; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of
Teviot and Benger Survey Districts, to the point of com-
mencement.

Auckland Acclimatization District.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day
of May, 1926.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by the Animals Protection and
Game Act, 1921–22, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that opossuns may
be taken or killed within the Auckland Acclimatization Dis-
trict described in the Schedule hereto, except in any sanctuary
or public domain, from the thirty-first day of May, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, to the thirtieth day
of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, both
days inclusive, subject to the general regulations made by
Order in Council dated the eighth day of May. one thou-
sand nine hundred and twenty-six.
And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill opossums
within the said district shall be issued to any person on pay-
ment of the sum of two pounds ten shillings each; and the
Chief Postmaster at Auckland is hereby appointed to sign
and issue such licenses to take or kill opossums.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND ACCLIMATIZATION DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the North Auckland, Auckland, Taranaki
and Wellington Land Districts bounded by a line commencing
at the mouth of the Mokau River, and proceeding thence
along high-water mark, Tasman Sea, in a northerly direction
generally (crossing the mouths of all harbours and rivers by
the way) to the Kaipara Harbour entrance to a point midway
between Kaipara Heads; thence up the centre of the channels,
Kaipara Harbour, leading to the mouth of Oruawhero River;
thenoe by the southern boundaries of the Hobson and Wha-
ngarei Acclimatization Districts, as described in New Zealand
Gazette No. 17, of the 12th day of March, 1925, to the
Mangawhai Harbour; thence by the middle of that har-
bour to the sea; thence along high-water mark of the sea,
Hauraki Gulf and Firth of Thames (crossing the mouths of
all harbours and rivers by the way), to the mouth of the
Waikawa River in Block VI, Hastings Survey District;
thence up the middle of that river to its source, and along a
right line from said source to Northhead, Tairua Harbour;
thenoe southery along high-water mark, Bay of Plenty
(crossing the mouths of all harbours and rivers by the way),
to the mouth of the Waihi River, in Block III, Waihi North
Survey District; thence south-westerly along a right line
to Mount Te Aroha Trig. Station; thence north-easterly
along a right line (in the direction of Ngakuriawhare Trig.
Station, Block I, Katikati North) to the western boundary
of the Tauranga Confiscation Block; thence south-easterly
by right lines from hill to hill along the summit of the range
forming the western boundary of the aforesaid Tauranga
Confiscation Block and passing over Ngatamahinerau, Mimio-
tofanga, and Waianuanu to Te Weraiti Trig. Station; thence
south-easterly along a right line to Puwhenua Trig. Station
(in Block VII, Tapapa East Survey District); thence south-
westerly along a right line to Rangitoto Mountain; thence
south-easterly along a right line to the source of the Onga-
ruhe River; thence southerly along a mountain range passing
through Weraroa, Tuhingamata, Motere, and Hauhangaroa
Trig. Stations to Maungaku Trig. Station; thence southerly
along the western boundary of the Waione Block to the
Wanganui River; thence down the middle of that river to
its confluence with the Ohura River; thence up the middle
of the Ohura River to the 39th parallel of south latitude;
thenoe westerly along the said parallel of latitude to the
western boundary of Block IV, Pouatu Survey District;
thenoe due north along that boundary and the western
boundary of Block XVI, Waro Survey District, to the con-
fiscation line; thence north-easterly along that line to the
Tangarakau Stream; thence up the middle of that stream
and up the middle of the Waitaanga Stream to the Kotare
Road, at the southern boundary of Section 2, Block VII,
Waro Survey District; thence westerly along the Kotare
Road to the south-west corner of Section 1, Block VII; thence
along the south-west boundary of the said section and along
the southern, western, and northern boundaries of Section 3,
Block VI, Waro Survey District, to the western boundary of
Section 4, Block VI, Waro Survey District; thence along the
western boundaries generally of Sections 4 and 5, and along
the south-western and northern boundaries of Section 6 (all
in Block VI, Waro Survey District) to the Mohakatino Road;
thenoe northerly along that road to a stream which crosses
the Mohakatino-Parininihi in East Block and flows into
the Mohakatino Stream near the westernmost corner of
Section 1, Block III, Waro Survey District; thenoe down
that stream to the said confluence and up the said Mohakatino
Stream and along the northern boundary of Section 3, Block
III, Waro Survey District, to Tawhitiraupenga Trig. Station;
thenoe along the south-western and western boundaries of
Mokau-Mohakatino in Block to the Mokau River; thence
down the middle of that river to the sea, the place of com-
mencement: including in the hereinbefore-described area
Great Barrier Island and all islands excepting Rangitoto
within the Hauraki Gulf.
