Revoking Part of a Proclamation taking Land for the Purposes of a Road in Blocks IX, XIII, and XIV, Maramarua Survey District, Raglan County.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke so much of the Proclamation dated the sixth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 8, of the eleventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, taking land for the purposes of a road in Blocks IX, XIII, and XIV, Maramarua Survey District, Raglan County, as affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land having been incorrectly described.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land incorrectly described: 6 acres 3 roods 22 perches, being portion of part Section 6.

Situated in Block XIV, Maramarua Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 21464/2.)

Altering Boundaries of Otorohanga and Waitomo Counties, and including Area in Waipa Riding, Otorohanga County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is provided by subsection two of section fourteen of the Counties Act, 1920, that the boundaries of any one or more counties may be altered in accordance with a resolution proposing the alteration passed by the Council of each of such counties in which the Counties Act is in force :

And whereas a resolution was passed by the Otorohanga County Council on the twenty-seventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, praying for the alteration of the boundaries of the Otorohanga and Waitomo Counties in the manner described in the said resolution and in the First Schedule hereto :

And whereas a similar resolution was passed by the Waitomo County Council on the twelfth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six :

And whereas it is expedient to make such alterations in accordance with the said resolutions, and that the area to be added to the Otorohanga County should be included in the Waipa Riding of that county :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on me by the said Act, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the First Schedule hereto, being now part of the Waitomo County, shall be added to and form part of the Otorohanga County; that the boundaries of the Otorohanga and Waitomo Counties as so altered shall be those set forth under the respective headings in the Second Schedule hereto; that the area added as aforesaid to the Otorohanga County shall be included in the Waipa Riding of the said county; and that the boundaries of that riding shall be those set forth in the Third Schedule hereto.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

AREA EXCLUDED FROM WAITOMO COUNTY AND INCLUDED IN OTOROHANGA COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Owawenga Stream in line with the northern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua A No. 48B No. 2c in Block III, Pakaumanu Survey District; thence up the middle of the said Owawenga Stream to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua A 50B No. 2 Block; thence along the eastern boundary of that block, the northern and eastern boundaries of Section 1, Block VII, Pakaumanu Survey District, and the northern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua A No. 60 Block to its north-eastern corner; thence along the eastern, southern, and part of the western boundaries of the last-named block, to its intersection with the southern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua A 67B 1A Block; thence westerly along that boundary to the middle of the Waipa River; thence down that river to its intersection with the southern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua A No. 41; thence along the southern, eastern, and northern boundaries of the aforesaid Rangitoto-Tuhua A No. 41 to the middle of the Waipa River; thence down the middle of that river to its intersection with the northern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua A No. 48a 2c; thence north-easterly along that boundary to the middle of the Owawenga Stream, the point of commencement.


SECOND SCHEDULE.

OTOROHANGA COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of the Mangauika Stream with the Waipa River; thence running up the middle of the Waipa River to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of the Ouruwhero 3E 1 Block; thence to and along that boundary, across the Ouruwhero Road, along the northern boundaries of Ouruwhero Nos. 3E 2, 3E 5, 303, 302c, and 301 Blocks to Section 1, Block X, Puniu Survey District; thence along the western, southern, and eastern boundaries generally of the said Section 1 to and along the southern boundary of Ouruwhero No. 3U Block, along the north-eastern boundary of Ouruwhero No. 3X Block, along the north-western boundary of Tokanui C No. 11 Block; thence by a right line to the north-western corner of Lot 2 of Tokanui C No. 4 Block, Block X, Puniu Survey District; thence along the northern boundary of the said Lot 2, across a road, along the eastern side of that road to and along the southern boundary of Lot 1 of Tokanui A Block, Block XI, Puniu Survey District; thence north-easterly along a right line to the junction of the Moerika Stream with the Puniu River; thence up the middle of the Puniu River to its intersection with the north-eastern boundary of Section 1, Block I, Wharepapa Survey District; thence south-easterly along the eastern boundaries of Section 1 aforesaid and Sections 1, 6, and 2, Block II, Wharepapa Survey District; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of Section 3 and 5, Block II, Sections 1, 2, and 3, Block III, Wharepapa Survey District, and the continuation of the latter boundary to the centre of the Waikato River; thence along the middle of the Waikato River to its confluence with the Waipapa Stream; thence up the middle of the said stream to its junction with the Waiteti Stream and up the middle of the said Waiteti Stream to its approximate source at peg CXXX on Survey Office plan 20946 (2) blue; thence south-westerly along a right line, bearing 209° 13' distance 7767 links; thence south-easterly along right lines bearing 169° 44' distance 10266 links, bearing 169° 5' distance 3508 links, as shown on the aforesaid plan; thence along the eastern and southern boundaries of Maraeroa A No. 3B Block to the south-western boundary of the Rangitoto B Block; thence by the north-eastern boundary of Waitomo County (hereinafter described) to the south-western corner of Section 5, Block I, Orahiri Survey District; thence generally north-easterly along the western boundary of the said Section 5 and a production thereof to the centre of the Awaroa Road; thence by a line along the middle of the said road to the Hauturu Road; and thence along the middle of the Hauturu Road to and along the middle of the Kawhia-Pirongia Road, to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 1, Block IX, Pirongia Survey District; thence to and along the said north-western boundary of Section 1 and along the
