PAPAKURA TOWN BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Papakura Town Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,500, authorized to be raised by the Papakura Town Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of footpath-construction and the purchase of roadmaking-machinery, the said Papakura Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Papakura Town District ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of April and the 31st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waipawa Borough Council (the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Waipawa) hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,800, authorized to be raised by the Waipawa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of advancing money to workers to enable them to erect workers’ dwellings on any land of which they are the owners, and for the purpose of purchasing land (whether with or without dwellings) for workers’ dwellings, the said Waipawa Borough Council (the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Waipawa) hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-sevenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Waipawa ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WOODVILLE COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—MANAWATU GORGE ROAD CONTRIBUTION LOAN OF £870, 1926.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Woodville County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Woodville County Manawatu Gorge Road Contribution Loan of £870, 1926, authorized to be raised by the Woodville County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of paying the Council’s proportion of the cost of reconstructing and widening the Manawatu Gorge Road, the said Woodville County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eightieth (1/80th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Woodville ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PALMERSTON NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.—HOKOWHITU SEWERAGE SUPPLEMENTARY LOAN OF £1,200, 1926.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Palmerston North Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Hokowhitu Sewerage Supplementary Loan of £1,200, 1926, being 10 per cent. additional to a loan of £12,000 authorized to be raised by the Palmerston North Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of—
(a.) The extension of the sewerage system through unsewered streets where necessary
(b.) The extension of the water-reticulation and purchase of water-meter
(c.) Providing a sewerage system for streets in Hokowhitu and purchase of pumping plant and equipment

(such sum of £12,000 being insufficient to complete the works for which such loan was raised), the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the interest, sinking fund, and other charges thereon, the special rate of one-ninth of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Palmerston North made and levied by resolution passed on this 22nd day of March, 1926, previous to the passing of this resolution ; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the said loan is fully paid off.
