And whereas it is therefore necessary that provision should
be made for representation of the said county on the Wairau
Hospital Board:

And whereas by section one hundred and thirty-five of the
Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Em-
powering Act, 1924, the area comprised in the Picton Road
District immediately before the merging of that district in
the County of Marlborough was declared not to form part of
the Wairau Hospital District, and was constituted a con-
tributary district of the Picton Hospital District by the name
of the Picton Rural District, and it is necessary that provision
should be made for the representation thereof on the Picton
Hospital Board :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by the said Act, doth hereby determine as
follows :β€”

  1. The County of Marlborough (exclusive of the Picton
    Rural District) and the Havelock Town District
    shall be combined contributary district of the
    Wairau Hospital District for the purposes of the
    said Act.

  2. The Marlborough County Council is declared to be
    the principal contributory local authority of the
    said combined district for the purposes of the said
    Act and of the said Order in Council made on the
    ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred
    and twenty-three.

  3. The number of representatives of the said combined
    district (part Marlborough County and Havelock
    Town District) on the Wairau Hospital Board shall
    be seven.

  4. The number of representatives of the Picton Rural
    District on the Picton Hospital Board shall be
    three.

  5. The first election of representatives of the aforsaid
    contributory districts shall be held on the date of
    the next ordinary general election of members of
    the Marlborough County Council.

  6. The regulations made by the said Order in Council
    of the ninth day of March, one thousand nine
    hundred and twenty-three, shall apply, mutatis
    mutandis, as if incorporated in this Order in Council.

of March, 1926.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all
other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby con-
sent to the Waipara County Council stopping the portion of
road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be
stopped: 50 acres.
Adjoining or passing through Section 35169, Blocks XV
and XIV, and Section 35171, Blocks X and XIV, situated
in Waipara Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O.
864/147.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 65019,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured green.

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 22nd day
of March, 1926.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS application has been made under section
twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919,
for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council
to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the
Schedule hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it
is expedient that such consent should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter
mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the
Schedule hereto, and it is hereby declared that this Order in
Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the
Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent
of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the
said loans.
