Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of December, 1925.

THE HONOURABLE J. G. COATES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it is expedient that such consent should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the said loans.

Christchurch City Council (for advancing money to workers to enable them to erect workers' dwellings)
Dunedin City Council (for repayment of the balance of the antecedent liability)
Invercargill Borough Council (for paying the balance of a maturing loan)
Invercargill Borough Council (for extending the borough water and drainage systems to Richmond Grove)
Thames County Council (for a domestic water-supply at Matatoki)
Waitotara County Council (for regrading and metalling Tokomaru East Road)
Whangarei County Council (for metalling the Waipu-Ruakaka Access Road)
Whangarei County Council (for metalling the Waiotu-Jordan Access Road)

Confirming Resolution made by the Wellington Harbour Board under Section 47, Finance Act, 1925.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of December, 1925.

THE HONOURABLE J. G. COATES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Wellington Harbour Board (hereinafter referred to as the "Board"), by a special resolution dated the twenty-seventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, established a superannuation fund under the Local Authorities Superannuation Act, 1908, for the benefit of the permanent employees then or thereafter in its service:
And whereas such resolution was confirmed by the Governor by Order in Council dated the tenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, as provided by the said Act:
And whereas the Board by a special resolution passed on the twenty-eighth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and confirmed on the twenty-fifth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, made under section forty-seven of the Finance Act, 1925 (hereinafter referred to as "the said resolution"), has increased the benefits payable to or on behalf of the widow and children of a deceased contributor or annuitant in manner provided in the said resolution:
And whereas it is expedient to confirm the said resolution:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section forty-seven of the Finance Act, 1925, and section six of the Local Authorities Superannuation Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby confirm the said resolution, and doth hereby declare that the said resolution shall take effect as from the twenty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five.

Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Lands other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of December, 1925.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE J. G. COATES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of six months the Order in Council dated the seventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and gazetted the fifteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, prohibiting all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto, other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of six months the Order in Council dated the seventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and gazetted the fifteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, prohibiting all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto, other than alienation in favour of the Crown.
