N.Z. STAFF CORPS.

Captain G. Walker, M.B.E., is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 23rd November, 1925.

2ND N.Z. MOUNTED RIFLES (QUEEN ALEXANDRA’S WELLINGTON WEST COAST).

Lieutenant F. H. P. Rogers is transferred to the 8th N.Z. Mounted Rifles (Nelson). Dated 11th February, 1926.

8TH N.Z. MOUNTED RIFLES (NELSON).

Lieutenant F. H. P. Rogers, from the 7th N.Z. Mounted Rifles (Wellington East Coast), to be Lieutenant, with seniority as from the 3rd March, 1924.

THE REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.

2nd Lieutenant A. V. Jenkins to be Lieutenant, 19th Medium Battery. Dated 7th October, 1925.

THE N.Z. INFANTRY.

The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own).

Captain N. L. Macky, M.C., from the Reserve of Officers, to be Captain, 1st Battalion. Dated 10th February, 1926.
Sholto Black to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), 2nd C. Battalion. Dated 10th February, 1926.

The North Auckland Regiment.

2nd Lieutenant A. Bowie (1st C. Battalion), is transferred to the Hauraki Regiment. Dated 10th February, 1926.

The Hauraki Regiment.

2nd Lieutenant A. Bowie, from the North Auckland Regiment, to be 2nd Lieutenant, 1st Battalion, with seniority as from the 1st June, 1925.

The Wellington Regiment.

2nd Lieutenant C. D. A. George (1st C. Battalion), is transferred to the 1st Battalion, with seniority as from the 8th May, 1925.
John Briercliffe Thorp to be 2nd Lieutenant, 1st Battalion. Dated 5th February, 1926.

The Taranaki Regiment.

The undermentioned to be Majors. Dated 19th August, 1925.

Notice of Intention to take Land for Scenic Purposes in Block V, Totara Survey District.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for scenic purposes. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Ross, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington,
