Setting apart Crown Land under Section 161 of the Land Act, 1924.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and sixty-one of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto for disposal under the section of the Act mentioned.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 14, Block XI, Ruakaka Survey District: Area, 1 rood 9 perches.

Opening Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease, subject to Section 20 of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Amendment Act, 1923.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease, subject to the provisions of section twenty of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Amendment Act, 1923, on Monday, the tenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—NATIONAL ENDOWMENT. FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Otamatea County.—Tokatoka Survey District.
SECTION 15, Block XII: Area, 48 acres 0 roods 10 perches; capital value, £1,250; half-yearly rent, £31 5s.
Situated one mile and a half from Ruawai Town, School, and Dairy Factory. Soil is a dark loam, the wash off the limestone hills. Watered by artesian well, the water being pumped by a Booth-McDonald windmill. Tall fescue has strong hold of the front part of the section, but not nearly so strong on back portion. Improvements, included in capital value, comprise about 150 chains of fencing, fair order; 31 chains of draining, in need of clearing; dwelling, kauri and rimu, two rooms and bathroom, kitchenette, and porch; cow-shed, four bails, with concrete floor and yard; trap-shed; pigsty, and two other outhouses.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section four of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke a certain Warrant dated the sixth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, appointing trustees for the Arapohue Public Cemetery, and in lieu thereof do hereby appoint
George Hugh Bradley,
Leonard Chadwick Kitching,
Hugh Montgomery,
Henry Playsted Sills, and
William Simpkin
to be trustees to have the maintenance and care of the Arapohue Cemetery as described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ARAPOHUE PUBLIC CEMETERY.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by measurement 9 acres 3 roods 5 perches, more or less, being portions of S.E. and S.W. Allotment 42, Arapohue Parish. Bounded as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 43 of the aforementioned parish with a public road, thence by that allotment a distance of 1179·2 links; thence on the north-east by a right line at right angles to the aforesaid boundary, a distance of 979·4 links, to a road; thence on the east and south generally by that road, distances 206·9 links, 328 links, 927·2 links, and 413·2 links, to the point of commencement: Be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated in a plan marked L and S. 2/53, deposited in the Head Office Lands and Survey Department, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

The Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations for the N.Z. Military Forces amended.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto the Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces published in the Gazette dated the sixth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five; and I do hereby declare that the amendment hereby made shall take effect as from the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
FINANCIAL INSTRUCTIONS AND ALLOWANCE REGULATIONS FOR THE NEW ZEALAND MILITARY FORCES.
PARAGRAPH 60 is hereby amended by adding the following words at the end of the paragraph:—
“ When the officer or soldier concerned moves direct from Government quarters to other Government quarters, travelling allowances will be as under:—
“ At commencement of journey: Single, one day; married, two days.
“ On arrival at destination: Single, one day; married, two days.”

PURSUANT to the authority vested in me by section two hundred and ninety-five of the Cook Islands Act, 1915, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the nomination of persons qualified for appointment as Assessors in criminal trials in the High Court of the Cook Islands, made by the following Warrants, viz:—
