NOSWORTHY, Minister of Agriculture. \nBy-laws, Te Puna to Opotiki Section, East Coast Main Trunk \nRailway. \nIN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me \nby section 11 of the Public Works Amendment Act, \n1909, I, Francis Henry Dillon Bell, G.C.M.G., K.C., a \nmember of the Executive Council, for and on behalf of \nJoseph Gordon Coates, Minister of Public Works, do \nhereby order and declare that the by-laws to be enforced \non the Te Puna to Opotiki Section of the East Coast Main \nTrunk Railway prior to its being opened for traffic under the \nGovernment Railways Act, 1908, shall be as set forth in the \nSchedule hereto, such by-laws to come into force on the 2nd \nday of November, 1925, from which date all previous by-laws \nfixed or imposed in respect of the said railway or any portion \nthereof are declared to be hereby revoked. \nSCHEDULE. \n1. THE by-laws to be enforced on the Te Puna to Opotiki \nSection of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway prior to its \nbeing opened for traffic under the Government Railways Act, \n1908, shall, mutatis mutandis, be the same as those made by \nthe Minister of Railways on the 29th day of May, 1909, for \nthe management of the railways open for traffic in the Do- \nminion of New Zealand, and for the regulation and control of \nall traffic on or upon the same (hereinafter called “the Railway \nDepartment's By-laws”), a copy of which by-laws has been \npublished in the New Zealand Gazette No. 47, of the 10th day \nof June, 1909, and as altered and extended from time to time \nby publication in the New Zealand Gazette as hereinafter \nmentioned. \n2. Where the words mentioned in the first column below \nappear in the Railway Department's By-laws, the words \nmentioned in the second column below shall be read in lieu \nthereof :— \n1st Column. \n“Department” \n“Board of Management of the New \nZealand Government Rail- \nways ” or “General Manager” \n“District Manager” or “District \nRailway Manager” \n“Railway” or “Railways” \n“Minister” \n2nd Column. \nPublic Works Depart- \nment. \nEngineer-in-Chief and \nUnder-Secretary, Pub- \nlic Works Department. \nDistrict Engineer. \nPublic Works. \nMinister of Public Works. \n3. Paragraph (2) of clause 40 and Part VI of the Railway \nDepartment’s By-laws shall be omitted from the by-laws to \nbe imposed on the Te Puna to Opotiki Section of the East \nCoast Main Trunk Railway. \n4. The alterations and extensions hereinbefore referred to \nare those published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 21st \nSeptember, 1911, 15th February, 1912, 5th February, 1914, \n31st July, 1919, 15th September, 1921, 15th June, 1922, \n8th November, 1923, 20th December, 1923, and the 15th \nApril, 1924. \nGiven under my hand at Wellington, this 27th day of \nOctober, 1925. \nF.
