Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Mount Eden, the County of Eden, and Mount Roskill Road District.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the Borough of Mount Eden are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough having been altered by Order in Council dated the 21st day of September, 1925, made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and published in Gazette No. 65 of the 24th day of September, 1925.

And also in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the County of Eden affected by the said Order in Council dated the 21st day of September, 1925, are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

And in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the Mount Roskill Road District affected by the said Order in Council dated the 21st day of September, 1925, are hereby defined as set out in the Third Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF BOROUGH OF MOUNT EDEN.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded, commencing at the southernmost corner of Allotment 2F, Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland, by the south-eastern boundaries of Allotment 2F aforesaid, and Allotments 2E, 2D, 2C, and portion 2B to and by the south-eastern side of Shaddock Street, being the original south-eastern boundary of Allotments part 2B, 2A, and 2 of Section 10 aforesaid to the western side of Mount Eden Road; thence by the western side of Mount Eden Road to a point being the production of the southern side of Boston Road across Mount Eden Road; thence across Mount Eden Road to and by the southern side of Boston Road, to and by the south-western side of Reeves Road, to and by the western side of Mountain Road, to and by the north-western side of Clive Road to the southernmost corner of Allotments 108, Section 6, Suburbs of Auckland; thence by the production of the north-western side of Clive Road aforesaid, across Clive Road to the eastern boundary of Mount Eden Domain as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1914, page 4323; thence by the eastern and southern boundaries of Mount Eden Domain aforesaid to the westernmost corner of Allotment 57, Section 6 aforesaid; thence by the south-western boundary of Allotment 57 aforesaid to Stokes Road; by a right line across Stokes Road to the north-eastern corner of Allotment 12, Section 6 aforesaid; thence by the north-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned allotment to and by the south-western side of Epsom Avenue to the north-western corner of Allotment 48, Section 6 aforesaid; thence by the western boundaries of Allotment 48 aforesaid and part Allotment 49, Section 6 aforesaid (training-college site) to the northern boundary of Allotment 68, Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland; thence by the northern boundary of the last-mentioned allotment to a point on the northern boundary aforesaid, distant 1356 links from the north-eastern corner of aforesaid Allotment 68; thence by a right line to a point on the south side of Watling Street, distant 1356 links from St. Andrew’s Road; thence by the southern side of Watling Street aforesaid to the north-western corner of Lot 9 of Allotment 75, Section 10 aforesaid; thence by the western boundaries of Lots 9 and 10, both of Allotment 75 aforesaid shown on deeds conveyance 1593A in Register 2D, folio 1091, Auckland Register, to the northern boundary of Allotment 76, Section 10 aforesaid; thence by that boundary to a point distant 1356 links from St. Andrew’s Road; thence by a right line to a point on the southern side of Landscape Road distant 1356 links from St. Andrew’s Road; thence by the southern side of Landscape Road aforesaid to the north-western corner of Lot 4 of Allotment 79, Section 10 aforesaid; thence by the western boundary of Lot 4 aforesaid to the northern boundary of Allotment 80, Section 10 aforesaid; thence by the northern boundary of the last-mentioned allotment to Three Kings Road; thence by the north-eastern side of Three Kings Road to the south-western corner of Lot 23 of Allotment 79 aforesaid; thence by the western boundary of Lot 23 aforesaid to and across Rewa Road to and by the western boundary of Lot 16 of Allotment 79 aforesaid to the southern side of Landscape Road; thence by the southern side of Landscape Road aforesaid to and across Mount Eden Road to and by the southern side of Boundary Road to a point distant 209-09 links from Mount Eden Road; thence by a right line parallel with and distant 209-09 links from Mount Eden Road to the northern side of a proposed road; thence by a right line across said proposed road to the intersection of the eastern side of another proposed road with the southern side of the first-mentioned proposed road; thence by the eastern side of the last-mentioned proposed road to the northern boundary of

SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF EDEN.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded towards the north generally by Waitemata Harbour from the Whau River to the Tamaki River; thence towards the east generally by the Tamaki River and the Otahuhu Creek to Portage Road; thence towards the south by Portage Road to Manukau Harbour; thence towards the west and again towards the south by Manukau Harbour to the Borough of Onehunga; thence by that borough and again by Manukau Harbour to the western side of Portage Road at Karaka Bay; thence towards the west by the western side of Portage Road to the Town District of New Lynn; thence by the Town District of New Lynn to the Whau Bridge; thence across and by the Whau River to Waitemata Harbour, the place of commencement: excluding therefrom the City of Auckland, the boroughs of Newmarket, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, and Avondale, and the Town District of Ellerslie.

THIRD SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF MOUNT ROSKILL ROAD DISTRICT.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded, commencing at the southern extremity of the eastern boundary of Allotment 75, Parish of Titirangi, on the Manukau Harbour, by the Borough of Avondale, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1924, page 2072, to and by the Borough of Mount Albert as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1924, page 2072, to the Borough of Mount Eden hereinbefore described; thence by the southern boundary of the Borough of Mount Eden aforesaid to and by the southern boundary of the City of Auckland as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1921, page 770, to the Auckland-Onehunga Road; thence by a right line across the said road to and by the One Tree Hill Road District as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1917, page 2976, to and by the western boundary of the Borough of Onehunga as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1917, page 2976, to the Manukau Harbour; thence by the Manukau Harbour to the point of commencement.
