the southernmost corner of Section 5, Block I, Karioi Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a westerly direction adjoining or passing through the said Section 5 and Section 2A, Block I, Karioi Survey District, and Sections 2B, IA, and part IB, Block IV, Karioi Survey District, and terminating at a point in the said Section 1B; being a distance of two miles, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 64125, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Roads and Portions of Roads in the Wharepuhunga Block, Otorohanga County, to be County Roads.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 6th day of October, 1925.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE J. G. COATES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the roads and portions of roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county roads.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that road known as Pukewhau Road, commencing at its junction with Taupaki (or Karaka) Road and proceeding thence generally in an easterly direction adjoining or passing through Section 6, Block VII, and Sections 2 and 3, Block VIII, and terminating at its junction with Arowhena Road; being a distance of 2 miles 63 chains, more or less; marked G-H on plan.
Also all that portion of road known as Aotearoa Road, commencing at a point opposite the north-easternmost corner of Section 3, Block II, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction adjoining or passing through part Wharepuhunga No. 16B, Blocks III and VII, and terminating at its junction with Kahore-Kau Road; being a distance of 3 miles 32 chains, more or less; marked A-B on plan.
Also all that road known as Kahore-Kau Road, commencing at its junction with Aotearoa Road and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction adjoining or passing through Sections 7, 8, 9, and 10, Block VII, and terminating at its junction with the Taupaki (or Karaka) Road; being a distance of 2 miles 73·5 chains, more or less; marked B-C on plan.
Also all that road known as the Waikato Landing Road, commencing at its junction with Arowhena Road and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction adjoining or passing through Section 4 and Landing Reserve No. 8, Block IV, and terminating at a point on the bank of the Waikato River near the northernmost corner of the said Landing Reserve No. 8; being a distance of 1 mile 16 chains, more or less; marked K-M on plan.
Also all that portion of road known as Taupaki (or Karaka) Road, commencing at the north-westernmost corner of Section 5, Block III, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction, adjoining or passing through the said Section 5 and Section 6, Block III, Wharepuhunga No. 16B, Blocks III and VII; Section 6, Block VII; Sections 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13, Block VIII; Sections 1, 3, and 5, Block XII; Section 12 and part Section 1, Block XI; and terminating at its junction with a road passing through the said Section 1 at a point opposite Creamery-site 11; being a distance of 9 miles 38·5 chains, more or less; marked D-F on plan.
Also all that portion of road known as Arowhena Road, commencing at the north-westernmost corner of Section 1, Block IV, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction adjoining or passing through the said Section 1 and Sections 2, 3, and 7, Block IV; Sections 3, 5, 7, 14, 15, and 20, Block VIII; Sections 2, 4, 5, Block XII; and part Section 12, Block XI; and terminating at the south-western- most corner of Section 6, Block XII; being a distance of 11 miles 3·75 chains, more or less; marked J-L on plan.
All in Wharepapa Survey District, Auckland Land District, Otorohanga County. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 62181, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring a Portion of Main Highway in Highway District No. 13, Kaikoura County, to be a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 6th day of October, 1925.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE J. G. COATES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of main highway described in the Schedule hereto, shall, on and after the date of gazetting of this Order in Council, become a Government road.

SCHEDULE.
WAIPARA-Kaikoura via Culverden: All that portion of the main highway known as the Waipara-Kaikoura (via Culverden) Main Highway, commencing at the north-western boundary of Section 3, Block II, Hundalee Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly and westerly direction, adjoining or passing through Sections 3, 96, and stock reserve, Block II, Hundalee Survey District, and terminating at the south-western boundary of the said Section 96, Block II, Hundalee Survey District, passing through the County of Kaikoura; being a distance of 1 mile 66 chains, more or less; marked E-F on plan. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.H. 32, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue, and marked as above mentioned.

Revoking Orders in Council bringing certain Provisions of the Mining Act into Force within certain Parts of New Zealand.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 6th day of October, 1925.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE J. G. COATES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Orders in Council set out in the Schedule hereto, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section two of the Mining Amendment Act, 1911, declared that the provisions of the Mining Act, 1908, set out in the First Schedules to the said Orders in Council, and including all amendments thereof, should apply to prospecting and mining for and the storage of petroleum and other mineral oils and of natural gas within the districts described therein:
And whereas it is expedient to revoke the said Orders in Council, except with respect to any rights granted thereunder:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Mining Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the undermentioned Orders in Council.
