N OTICE is hereby given that the following special resolution bearing date 22nd November, 1924, has been duly passed by the shareholders of the said company :—
It having been found to the satisfaction of the shareholders of the SUNSHINE GROWERS (LIMITED), that it is impossible to carry on at a profit, it is hereby decided that the society shall be voluntarily wound up, and that Mr. C. E. WEBB be appointed Liquidator.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 21st day of January, 1925, cancelled the registry of Manaia Lodge, No. 87, of the Grand Lodge of the North Island of New Zealand of the United Ancient Order of Druids (Register No. 296/91), held at Manaia, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1924, and their amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work, namely—street widening—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken ; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours, ; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

HOKIANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Hokianga County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest, and also the other charges on a loan of £7,500 (seven thousand five hundred pounds), authorized to be raised by the Hokianga County Council under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the purposes of road-construction, metalling, and culverting in the Kohukohu Riding (town area and outlying area) of the County of Hokianga, the boundaries of which are legally defined as a legal subdivision, the said Hokianga County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3d. (threepence) in the £1 on the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property in the said Kohukohu Riding (town area and outlying area) in the County of Hokianga, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the first day of April and the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

COLLINGWOOD COUNTY COUNCIL.
In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain work—to wit, for the purpose of a road. A copy of a plan of the lands is deposited at the County Office in Collingwood, and may be inspected there at any time during office hours.
All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing all well-grounded objections to the execution of such work, or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication hereof to the Collingwood County Council at its office, Collingwood.

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the shareholders of the above-named company will be held in my office, Number 152, High Street, Dunedin, on Monday, the 9th day of February, 1925, at 3.30 p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before such meeting showing the manner in which the winding-up of the company has been conducted, and the property of the company disposed of, and hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator ; and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company, and of the Liquidator, shall be disposed of.

WILLIAM JAMES REIMER REEDER, heretofore called and known by the name of “ William James Reimer,” of 8 Ariki Road, Grey Lynn, in the City of Auckland, Factory Hand, do hereby give public notice that on the 23rd day of December, 1924, I did, for and on behalf of myself and my heirs and issue lawfully begotten, formally wholly, absolutely, and utterly renounce, relinquish, and abandon the use of my said surname of “ Reimer,” and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth in all records, deeds, documents, and writings in all actions, suits, and proceedings, in all dealings, transactions, matters, and things, and upon all occasions whatsoever, to use and subscribe the name of “ REEDER” instead of the said name “Reimer.”
