THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

No. 64

August, 1925, made under the Counties Act, 1920, and published in Gazette No. 62 of the 3rd day of September, 1925, are hereby defined as set out in the Third Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF BOROUGH OF WAITARA.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded towards the north generally by the southern side of Battiscombe Terrace and its production from the western side of Ranfurly Street to high-water mark of the sea, and by the high-water mark to a point in line with the southern side of Howard Street; thence by a right line to and along the southern side of Howard Street to the westernmost corner of Section 1, Waitara East District, Block I, Waitara Survey District; thence by Sections 1, 2, 5, and 7, said Waitara East District, to Elliot Street; thence towards the east generally by the western side of Elliot Street to the north-eastern corner of Section 23, Waitara East District; thence along the northern and western boundaries of that section and Section 28 to the northernmost corner of Section 32; thence towards the south generally by the last-mentioned section to and across Princess Street to the northernmost corner of Section 31; thence by that section and Section 25 to Joll Street; thence to and along the middle of Joll Street to Section 24, Waitara East District, and by that section to the angle in Manukorihi Road on the western side of the said Section 24; thence across the Manukorihi Road to the Waitara River, and by the right bank of that river to a point due east of the confluence of the Mangahinau Stream with the Waitara River; thence by a right line across the Waitara River to and by the said Mangahinau Stream to the western side of Nelson Street, by the said western side of Nelson Street to the northernmost corner of Section 29, Waitara West District; thence by the northern boundary of that section to the western side of the Waitara - New Plymouth Railway; thence by that railway to the western boundary of Section 25, Waitara West District; thence by that boundary and the western side of Ranfurly Street, across Raleigh Street, to the north-eastern corner of Section 16, Waitara West District; thence by that section and Section 15 to Johnston Street, across Johnston Street, and along its western side to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 12, Waitara West District; thence to and along that boundary to the south-western corner of Section 9, Waitara West District; thence by the western and northern boundaries of the said Section 9 to the western side of Ranfurly Street; thence by the western side of Ranfurly Street to the southern side of Battiscombe Terrace, the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF TARANAKI.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded on the east by the Borough of Waitara (hereinbefore described) and Clifton County from the mouth of the Waitara River to the confluence of the Waitara River and the Manganui Stream; thence up the middle of the Manganui and Manga-poto Streams to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 167; thence along that boundary to Roddy Road and along Roddy and Clarke Roads to the southern boundary of Block IX, Huirangi Survey District; thence by that boundary to the north-western corner of Section 151, Block XIII, Huirangi Survey District; thence along the western boundaries of Sections 151, 150, 149, and 208 to the south-eastern corner of Section 148, Block XIII aforesaid; thence along the southern boundary of Sections 148 and 134 to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence northerly along the eastern boundaries of Sections 133, 132, 131, 130, and 129, Huirangi District, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence westerly along the northern boundary of the said Section 129 to Richmond Road; thence southerly along Richmond Road to the northern boundary of Section 120, along the northern boundary of Section 120 to the eastern boundary of Section 111; thence along the eastern and northern boundaries of the said Section 111 to Wortley Road; thence along Wortley Road to the northern boundary of Section 98, and along the northern boundary of Section 98 to its north-western corner; thence along the western boundaries of Sections 98 and 99 to the northern boundary of Section 200, Huirangi District; thence along the northern boundaries of Sections 200 and 54 to Hursthouse Road; thence northerly along the Hursthouse Road to the northern boundary of Section 53; thence along the northern and western boundaries of Section 53 aforesaid to the northern boundary of Section 49; thence by the northern boundary of Section 49 to King Road; thence southerly along King Road to the northern boundary of Section 42, Tarutangi District; thence westerly along the

northern boundary of the said Section 42, the eastern and northern boundaries of Section 33, across Upland Road; the northern boundaries of Sections 28 and 46 to Egmont Road; thence across Egmont Road and along the eastern and northern boundaries of Section 47 to the Araheke Stream; thence along the Araheke Stream to the northern boundary of Section 48, Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred; thence south-westerly along that northern boundary to the Waiwakaiho Stream; thence up that stream to its source; and thence by a right line to the summit of Mount Egmont; thence by a right line from the Summit of Mount Egmont aforesaid to the middle of the Puniho Road at the Forest Reserve boundary; thence along the middle of Puniho Road to its junction with the Coast Road, across Coast Road, and along the northern boundary of Section 26, Block IV, Cape Survey District, to the sea; thence by the sea-coast to the mouth of the Waitara River, the place of commencement.

THIRD SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF WAITARA WEST RIDING.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded on the north-west by the sea from the Borough of New Plymouth to the mouth of the Waitara River; on the east by Clifton County and the Borough of Waitara hereinbefore described; and on the south by Inglewood County to a point the middle of the Waiwakaiho Stream in line with the north-western boundary of Section 48, Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred; thence by a line down the middle of the Waiwakaiho Stream to and along the boundary of the Borough of New Plymouth to the seashore, the place of commencement.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-order and Transmission of Postal Correspondence in New Zealand for M. Francis Donovan and Sisters of Charity, East Melbourne.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable grounds for supposing that the persons whose names and addresses are shown in the Schedule hereunder are engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said persons shall be issued and that no postal packet addressed to the said persons (either by their own or any fictitious or assumed names) or addressed to the address in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Regulations as to Drainage and Plumbing under the Health Act, 1920, applied to the Tahununui Town District. (H. 2/22.)

Wellington, 3rd September, 1925.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council made on the 3rd day of September, 1923, and gazetted on the 6th day of the same month, regulations (to be cited as "the Drainage and Plumbing Regulations") were made under the Health Act, 1920, prescribing the conditions to be observed in the construction of approved drains, septic tanks, sanitary conveniences, and sanitary appliances:

And whereas by the said regulations it was provided that the same were suspended as provided in the said Act:

And whereas by section 133 of the said Act it is enacted that the operation of any such regulations may, if so provided therein, be wholly suspended until they are applied by the Minister by notice in the Gazette to any part of New Zealand:

Now, therefore, I, Maui Pomare, Minister of Health, in exercise of the power and authority given by the said regulations and by section 133 of the said Act, do hereby apply the said regulations to the Tahununui Town District, and do hereby declare that this notice shall take effect on the 15th day of September, 1925.
