the license held by such licensee, and the licensee shall have no
claim to any refund or allowance in respect thereof.
19. No person shall remove beyond the boundary of the land
described in the First Schedule any cattle other than those
belonging to him, or for the removal of which he shall have
authority from the Ranger, under a penalty not exceeding
£5.
20. If any person shall depasture any cattle upon the lands
described in the First Schedule without a license, or otherwise
(as to number or kind) than in accordance with a license
granted to him, every such person shall be liable, on the information of the Chairman of the Committee, as for trespass
of cattle on Crown lands, and also to any penalty or disability
imposed in respect of unlawful occupation of Crown land.
21. Nothing herein contained shall be deemed to interfere
with the powers or duties of the Commissioner of Crown Lands
of the district in which the lands described in the First Schedule
are situated, whether under the Land Act, 1924, or any other
law or statute for the time being in force, and the said lands
described in the First Schedule shall, subject to the special
provisions hereinbefore made, remain and be Crown lands for
the purpose of the said Act, and subject thereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
SWITZERS COMMONAGE.
All that parcel of land in the Southland Land District, containing 2,800 acres, more or less, being parts of Blocks I and
III, Wakaia District. Bounded towards the north by Section
69 and a river reserve, Block I, and Sections 8 and 9 and a
road, Block III, Wakaia District aforesaid; towards the south-east by Run 529; towards the south by Blocks XX and
XXI, Wendon District; towards the west and north-west
generally by a road-line forming the west and north-west
boundaries of Sections 15 and 18 of the said Block I, Wakaia
District; again towards the north-west generally by Sections
27, 26, 31, 25, 29A, and a road, Block I aforesaid; towards
the south-west by the Town of Wakaia to the road reserve
along the banks of the Whakaea River; thence towards the
north-west generally by the aforesaid road reserve up the
banks of the Whakaea River, a distance of approximately
100 chains, to starting-point: and excepting out of the land
herein described freehold Sections 11, 4, 6, and 3, Block III,
and Section 70, Block I, Wakaia District; also Section I,
Block III, a reserve for public buildings, and a cemetery
reserve, Section IA in Block I, Wakaia District.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
(1.) FORM OF APPLICATION.
Pursuant to the regulations made under the Land Act, 1924,
I hereby apply for a license to depasture [Here insert number]
head of cattle on the Switzers Commonage, Southland
County, such cattle being or to be forthwith branded as
follows—viz., [Here insert description of stock, colour, sex, and
brand of each]; and I agree to pay the prescribed fee for such
license in respect of each head of such cattle in accordance
therewith.

Pursuant to the regulations made under the Land Act, 1924
[Name, address, and occupation of licensee], is hereby licensed
to depasture on the Switzers Commonage, in the County of
Southland, the following: [Insert description of cattle as to
number, brands, &c., in respect of great cattle]; and has paid
the sum of £ for issue of this license, being at the rate
of 5s. for each head of stock. This license is to be in force
until the 31st December, 19 , and is issued subject to the
terms and conditions set forth in the said regulations.

Pursuant to the authority conferred upon me by
section two hundred and eighty-eight of the Justices
of the Peace Act, 1908, and section sixteen of the Justices of
the Peace Amendment Act, 1923, I, General Sir Charles
Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons
whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being persons
holding office in the service of the Crown as stated opposite
their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and
receive statutory declarations under section two hundred and
eighty-eight of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.
