Clutha County.—Catlins Survey District.

Section 17, Block VII: Area, 134 acres 1 rood 16 perches.
Capital value, £120. Occupation with right of purchase:
Half-yearly rent, £3. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent,
£2 8s.
A rough bush section, steep towards Shaw’s Creek and the
eastern and south-eastern boundaries. Situated about four
miles and a half from Tawanui School and Railway-station.

Section 22, Block VII : Area, 125 acres 0 roods 26 perches.
Capital value, £65. Occupation with right of purchase:
Half-yearly rent, £1 12s. 6d. Renewable lease : Half-yearly
rent, £1 6s.
Situatcd about two miles and a half from Tahatika School
and Post-office, and about nine miles from Owaka Railway-
station. Access is by Owaka Valley Road, two miles distant.
Section is very high and broken with gullies. Soil poor, on
rock formation. The bush is poor, mostly birch. Watered
by springs. Altitude, 1,500 ft. to 1,600 ft.

Bruce County.—Clarendon Survey District.

Section 13, Block XI : Area, 39 acres 2 roods 7 perches.
Capital value, £40. Occupation with right of purchase:
Half-yearly rent, £1. Renewable lease : Half-yearly rent, 16s.
Weighted with £15, valuation for fencing.
Situated about two miles from Taieri Mouth. Soil light
and poor. Road steep and unformed.

Southland County.—Tautuku Survey District.

Section 17, Block XII : Area, 134 acres 1 rood 18 perches.
Capital value, £70. Occupation with right of purchase:
Half-yearly rent, £1 15s. Renewable lease : Half-yearly
rent, £1 8s.
Weighted with £50, valuation for grassing (15 acres) and
hut with iron roof.
Poor section; soil poor quality, light loam on clay and rock
formation; broken, and lies away from sun. Bush poor,
comprising largely kamai and a few scattered rimus, with
fern and bramble undergrowth. Situated four miles from
Chaslands School and Post-office and fifteen miles from
Maclennan Railway-station. Watered by streams. Elevation 500 ft. to 550 ft.

Section 27, Block XII : Area, 110 acres 2 roods 22 perches.
Capital value, £70. Occupation with right of purchase:
Half-yearly rent, £1 15s. Renewable lease : Half-yearly rent,
£1 8s.
Situated about sixteen miles from MacLennan Railway-
station. Section lies on the point of a ridge. Fairly flat on
top but falls away steeply to north, south, and east. Soil
fair, on clay and rock formation. All bush of poor quality,
kamai and broadleaf with undergrowth of fern, lawyer, and
supplejack. Well watered. There is formed road to within
about 40 chains of south-east corner.

Special Condition.—The Crown shall not at any time be
liable for making the unformed portion of the road.

Opening National-endowment Land in Otago Land District
for Selection on Renewable Lease.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on me by the Land Act, 1924, I, General
Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the
national-endowment land described in the Schedule hereto
shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the
ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-five, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule;
and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under
and subject to the provisions of the said Act.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—NATIONAL ENDOWMENT.—SECOND-
CLASS LAND.

Clutha County.—Glenomaru Survey District.

SECTIONS 46 to 49, Block II : Area, 140 acres 1 rood 10 perches;
capital value, £70 ; half-yearly rent, £1 8s.
Situatcd about two miles and a half from Romahapa
Railway-station, Post-office, and School. Land of poor
quality, steep and broken; half fern; balance chiefly kamai
bush fired a few years ago, now grown up with fern, fuchsia,
&c. Watered by stream. Elevation, 500 ft. to 600 ft.

General, this 3rd day of September, 1925.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries
Act, 1908, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
the several persons whose names are specified in Part I of
the Schedule hereto to have the control and management
of the public cemetery specified in Part II of the said Schedule.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S.
2/172A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands
and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by section four of the Cemeteries Act,
1908, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke
a certain Warrant dated the fourteenth day of February,
one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight, appointing
trustees for the Glenorchy Public Cemetery, and in lieu
thereof do hereby appoint

Henry Birley,
John Henry Forbes,
James Robert Adam Hume,
John Edward O’Connell, and
Donald Williamson

To be trustees to have the maintenance and care of the
Glenorchy Cemetery as described in the Schedule hereto.
