power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby pro-
hubit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order
in Council, all alienation of the Native land specified in the
Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 31st day of
August, 1925.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-two of
the Native Land Act, 1909, it is provided that, for
the purpose of enabling any scheme of consolidation of the
interests of owners of Native land into suitable areas to be
prepared and carried into effect, the Governor-General may,
by Order in Council, prohibit for a period not exceeding
twelve months any alienation of Native land in respect of
which application has been made by a Native Minister to the
Court for the preparation of such a scheme :

And whereas it is provided by section eight of the Native
Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act,
1923, that any such Order in Council may be extended from
time to time :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority hereinbefore mentioned, and acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
doth hereby extend for a period of twelve months the Order
in Council prohibiting alienation dated the twenty-ninth day
of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four,
and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the second day
of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, so
far as it affects the Native land specified in the Schedule
hereto.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase
Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-
three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the
power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section,
His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further
period of six months the Order in Council dated the twenty-
second day of September, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-four, and gazetted the twenty-fifth day of September,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, prohibiting all
alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto,
other than alienation in favour of the Crown.
