REPORT on the Vital Statistics of the Urban Areas of the Dominion for the Month of June, 1925:—

The total births registered for the urban areas amounted to 1,011, as against 1,089 in May—a decrease of 78. The deaths in June were 541, an increase of 96 as compared with the previous month. Of the total deaths males contributed 302, females 239. Sixty-two of the deaths were of children under five years of age, being 11·46 per cent. of the whole number. Forty-nine of these were under one year of age.

The equivalent annual rates per 1,000 of mean population for June, 1925, and six months ended June, 1925, were as follows. The infantile mortality rate per 100 births for the same period is also given.
