there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by
the execution of the said public work or by the taking of
the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections
to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send
such writing, within forty days from the first publication
of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
15 acres O roods 1 perch.
Being portion of Tahora 2AD Section 2, situated in Blocks
VIII and XII, Waimana Survey District (Gisborne R.D.),

In the Gisborne Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 61941,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured pink.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-order and Transmission of Postal
Correspondence in New Zealand for Aub. Shaw, Manly, and
G. M. Farrow, Sydney.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand
having reasonable ground for supposing that the persons whose names and addresses are shown in the Schedule hereunder are engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of either of the said persons shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to either of the said persons (either by his own or any fictitious or assumed name), or addressed to either of the addresses in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

WHEREAS a poll to determine the statutory closing-day in the Borough of Kaiapoi was duly taken under the authority of section 20 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, on the 29th day of April, 1925 :
And whereas the Town Clerk of the Borough of Kaiapoi has notified me that the majority of the votes given at such poll were in favour of the appointment of Thursday as the statutory closing-day in the said borough :
Now, therefore, I, George James Anderson, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 20 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, do hereby appoint Thursday as the statutory closing-day in the said borough as from the 25th day of May, 1925.
