Board of Trade (Wool Industry) Regulations, 1925.—Notice No. Ag. 2460.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of January, 1925.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient in the public interest to revoke the Board of Trade (Wool Industry) Regulations, 1921, made by Order in Council dated the twentieth day of June, nineteen hundred and twenty-one, and gazetted on the twenty-third day of June then instant, and to make other provision in lieu thereof:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Board of Trade Act, 1919, the Board of Trade Amendment Act, 1923, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and on the recommendation of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby revoke the said Board of Trade (Wool Industry) Regulations, 1921, and make the following regulations in lieu thereof, and doth further declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the date of the publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

REGULATIONS.

THESE regulations may be cited as the Board of Trade (Wool Industry) Regulations, 1925.

In these regulations “Minister” means the Minister of Agriculture.

The Minister may appoint a Committee, to be known as the New Zealand Wool Committee (hereinafter referred to as “the Wool Committee”), consisting of a Chairman (who shall be a producer), two representatives of wool-brokers, two representatives of wool-growers, and such other persons as he may from time to time decide, to hold office during his pleasure. At any meeting of such Committee three shall form a quorum.

The Wool Committee may from time to time determine the maximum aggregate quantities of wool that may be offered for sale by public auction in any period, and may with respect to any specified sale by public auction fix the maximum quantity of wool that may be offered.

(1.) It shall not be lawful for any person holding a license under the Auctioneers Act to offer wool for sale by public auction, except subject to the following conditions, viz.: That he shall have obtained a permit issued by the Wool Committee on behalf of the Board of Trade, and shall have deposited with the Wool Committee an undertaking (in such form and subject to such guarantee as the Wool Committee may require) that he will faithfully adhere to such directions as the Wool Committee may give in writing from time to time to the local Woolbrokers' Association of which he is a member as to the maximum quantity of wool that may be offered at any specified auction sale.
(2.) Any auctioneer who sells wool without a permit, or who fails to adhere to the directions of the Wool Committee as aforesaid, shall be guilty of an offence against these regulations and shall be liable accordingly.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the regulations and fix the charges set forth in the Schedule hereto for the receiving, despatching, conveying, and delivering of Government publications posted in bulk; and doth order and declare that any regulations and charges of similar purport heretofore made are hereby revoked; and doth further order and declare that the regulations and charges hereby made and fixed shall have effect on and after the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five.

Revoking the Letters of Naturalization of Mate Radich Tomin.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of January, 1925.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS letters of naturalization were issued to Mate Radich Tomin on the ninth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twelve: And whereas the Governor-General in Council is satisfied that it is advisable to revoke the said letters of naturalization:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the British Nationality and Status of Aliens (in New Zealand) Act, 1923, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the said letters of naturalization of the said Mate Radich Tomin, as on and from the seventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five.

Licensing Daniel O'Shea to use and occupy a Part of the Foreshore at Mapuna, Dargaville, on the Northern Wairoa River, as a Site for a Wharf.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of January, 1925.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, there being no Harbour Board empowered to grant the license hereinafter mentioned, Daniel O'Shea, of Mapuna, Dargaville (who with his executors, administrators, and assigns is hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), has applied to the Governor-General in Council for a license under the Harbours Act, 1923 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), to occupy a part of the foreshore at Mapuna, Dargaville, Northern Wairoa River, as a site for a wharf, to be built in the position and in accordance with plan marked M.D. 3169 (sheets 1 and 2), and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington:
And whereas it has been made to appear to the Governor-General in Council that the work will not be or tend to the injury of navigation, and the said plan has, prior to the making of this Order in Council, been approved by the Governor-General in Council:
And whereas it is desirable that a license should be granted and issued to the licensee under the said Act for the purpose aforesaid, on the terms and conditions hereinafter expressed:
