Appointing the Time and Place for the First Meeting of the Waitemata Electric-power Board.

WHEREAS by section 4 of the Electric-power Boards Amendment Act, 1920, it is provided that the first meeting of the Board after the constitution of an electric-power district shall be held at such time and place as the Minister by notice in the Gazette appoints :

And whereas by a notice published in Gazette No. 81, of the 11th day of December, 1924, Friday, the 19th day of December, 1924, at 3 o’clock p.m., was fixed as the time and the Chamber of Commerce, Auckland, as the place, for holding the first meeting of the Waitemata Electric-power Board :

And whereas the first meeting of the said Board was not held at the time appointed, and it is considered expedient to appoint another date as the time for holding the first meeting :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Electric-power Boards Amendment Act, 1920, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Joseph Gordon Goates, Minister of Public Works, do hereby appoint Friday, the 16th day of January, 1925, at 2 o’clock p.m., as the time, and the Chamber of Commerce, Auckland, as the place, for holding the first meeting of the Waitemata Electric-power Board.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-order and Transmission of Postal Correspondence for Mr. Buchanan, Hamilton’s Buildings, 76 Collins Street, Hobart.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having reasonable ground for supposing that the person whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said person (either by his own or any fictitious or assumed name), or addressed to the address in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Otago Provincial District excluded from the Operation of Part I of the Fruit Control Act, 1924.—Notice No. Ag. 2457.

A PETITION signed by not less than 70 per centum of the producers of the Provincial District of Otago having been presented to me praying that the district be excluded from the operation of Part I of the Fruit Control Act, 1924, I hereby exclude, in accordance with the provisions of section 4 of the Act, the said provincial district from the operation of Part I of the said Act.

Sale of Unclaimed Property.

I, GEORGE HUME SEDDON, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that The Marlborough Taxi Owners’ Association (Incorporated) is no longer carrying on operations, the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.
