THE BIRKENHEAD MOTOR-BUS AND TRANSIT
COMPANY (LIMITED).

SPECIAL RESOLUTION of the BIRKENHEAD MOTOR-BUS AND
TRANSIT COMPANY (LIMITED) passed on the 28th day of
January, 1925, and confirmed on the 11th day of March,
1925.

A T an extraordinary general meeting of the members of
the above-named company duly convened and held
at the Foresters' Hall, Birkenhead, on Wednesday, the 28th
day of January, 1925, the following special resolution was
duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general
meeting of the members of the said company also duly con-
vened and held at the same place on the 11th day of March,
1925, the following special resolution was duly confirmed :—
" That the company be wound up voluntarily under the
provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, and that Mr. EDWARD
John Osborne, the Secretary of the Company, be appointed
Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up."

NOTICE is hereby given that M. MICHELIN AND COMPANY
(LIMITED), a company duly incorporated in France
under the French Code de Commerce, intends to commence
and carry on business at the undermentioned towns in the
Dominion of New Zealand, and that the undermentioned
addresses are the addresses if the respective offices of the
company in those towns where legal process of any kind
may be served upon the company and notices of any kind

CHANGE OF SURNAME.

LIONEL ARTHUR HOWARD, of Wellington, En-
l, graver, heretofore called " Lionel Arthur Siggelkow," hereby give notice that I have renounced the surname of
" Siggelkow " and have assumed the surname of " Howard," and will hereafter on all occasions sign, use, and be called
and known by the name of " Lionel Arthur Howard " only, and that I have formally declared and evidenced such change
of name by deed poll dated the 27th day of January, 1925,
enrolled in the Supreme Court at Wellington.

HOKIANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Hokianga County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect to principal and interest and also the other charges
on a loan of £5,400 (five thousand four hundred pounds),
authorized to be raised by the Hokianga County Council
under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the purposes of
forming, re-forming, culverting, bridging, and metalling the
roads as defined in the said special area, the said Hokianga
County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3d.
(threepence) in the £1 on the rateable (unimproved) value of
all rateable property in the Motukaraka Riding Special-
rating Area, comprising all that land enclosed by a line com-
mencing at the south-east corner of Section 1, Block XVI,

Whangape Survey District, thence following the easterly
and northerly boundaries of Section 1 to its north-west
corner. From the above point following a direct line to
the south-east corner of Tautehere No. 2; thence following
generally the easterly boundaries of Tautehere No. 2, Section
10 (Crown land), and Sections 7, 6, 5, 4, Block VI, Whangape
Survey District, to the north-east corner of Section 4; thence
westerly along the southern boundary of Section 25, Block IV,
Whangape Survey District, to its south-west corner; thence
due north along the west boundaries of Sections 25, 24, 14, 4,
and 26 of Block IV, Whangape Survey District, to the north-
west corner of Section 26; thence due east along the north
boundaries of Sections 26, 1, and 2 of Block IV, Whangape
Survey District, and 14, Block V, Mangamuka Survey Dis-
trict, to the north-east corner of Section 14. From this
point following the Motukaraka-Kohukohu Riding Boundary
in generally a south-east direction to the Hokianga River;
thence following the low-water mark on the west shore of the
Hokianga River in generally a south-west direction to the
Waipapa Outlet; thence along the east side of the Waipapa
Outlet to its intersection with the south-east corner of Sec-
tion 1, Block XVI, Whangape Survey District, the starting-
point of the area; and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable on the first day of April and the first day of
October in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of 36½ (thirty-six and a half) years, or
until the loan is fully paid off.

and relating to carburettors for internal-combustion engines,"
or to sell or otherwise dispose of the patent on reasonable
terms, or offers, proposals, or suggestions from any person,
firm, or corporation desirous of making, using, exercising, and/
or vending the patented invention in Australia, or of otherwise
supplying the requirements of the public in respect of said
invention, will be favourably considered.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hereto-
fore subsisting between LUKE CLYDE HAZLETT, and
SIMON WRIGHT, carrying on business in Dunedin under the
style or firm of "Salisbury Butchery " has been dissolved as
from the tenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-five, so far as concerns the said Simon Wright, who
retires from the said business.
