Notifying Land in Nelson Land District for Sale by Public
Auction for Cash or on Deferred Payments.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon
me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land
Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
appoint Tuesday, the thirty-first day of March, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty-five, as the time at which the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public
auction for cash or on deferred payments; and I hereby
fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that
mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—Town LAND.
Town of Millerton.
SECTION 132: Area, 1 rood 8 perches; upset price, £50.

Opening Land in the Marlborough Land District for Sale or
Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, I, General
Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of
the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one
hundred and seventy-six of the said Act, do hereby declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open
for sale or selection on Tuesday, the twenty-first day of
April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five; and
also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may,
at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be
selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the price at which the
said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased as mentioned in
the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land
shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the
provisions of the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Marlborough County.—Wakamarina Survey District.
SECTIONS 49 and 50, Block VIII : Area, 103 acres. Capital
value, £40. Occupation with right of purchase: Halfyearly rent, £1. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, 16s.
This property comprises steep shady hills covered with
bush and scrub, situated about two miles from Havelock by
water, and thence several chains by unformed road.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 14th day of March, 1925.

Appointing an Acting-member of the Main Highways Board.

section five, subsection five, of the Main Highways
Act, 1922, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, GovernorGeneral of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
John Wood, Esq.,
of Wellington, Inspecting Engineer of the Public Works
Department, to be an acting-member of the Main Highways
Board, to act in the event of the absence of any member
from any meeting of the Main Highways Board.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the GovernorGeneral this 11th day of March, 1925.

Te Mania Rabbit-proof Fencing District abolished.—Notice
No. Ag. 2477.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me
by subsection two (d) of section eighty-six of the Rabbit
Nuisance Act, 1908, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby abolish the Te Mania Rabbit-proof Fencing District
which was constituted on the twenty-second day of December,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 10th day of March, 1925.

Postmasters appointed to take and receive Statutory Declarations.
PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the
two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of
the Peace Act, 1908, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
notify and declare that the persons set out in the Schedule
hereto, being persons holding the office of Postmaster under
the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at the places set opposite
their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and
receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-andeighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.
