This license does not authorize the holder thereof to take or kill red-deer stags or hinds on lands actually and exclusively used by any registered acclimatization society for acclimatization purposes, or on any sanctuary or public domain, or on any land excepted from the operation of the notification declaring an open season for the district.

Open Season for Deer-shooting, Grey District Acclimatization District.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, Richard Francis Bollard, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the period from the 26th day of March, 1925, to the 13th day of June, 1925 (both days inclusive), to be an open season in the Grey District Acclimatization District, described in the First Schedule hereto, for the taking or killing of the following imported game—viz., red-deer stags and hinds and fallow-deer bucks and does—subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS.

LICENSES to take or kill red-deer stags and hinds and fallow-deer bucks and does may be issued by the Chief Postmaster at Greymouth, on payment of a license fee of £2, in the form prescribed in the Second Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Act and regulations thereunder and this notification: Provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person.

Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing any person to sell any deer or portion thereof. Ball cartridge only to be used; provided that no metal-patched or metal-cased bullets shall be used for killing such deer.

Regulations as to the use of marks of identification of deer-heads contained in section 6 of the regulations under the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 7th February, 1924, page 437, shall be strictly adhered to by each licensee, who, in addition thereto, shall return all unused “tags” to the secretary of the Acclimatization Society, Greymouth, immediately he has finished stalking for the season for which such “tags” have been issued, together with a statement of the number of deer shot.

Nothing in any license to take or kill red-deer stags and hinds or fallow-deer bucks and does shall authorize the holder thereof to take or kill red-deer stags and hinds or fallow-deer bucks and does on lands actually and exclusively used by any registered acclimatization society for acclimatization purposes, or on any sanctuary or public domain, or on any land excepted from the operation of the notification declaring an open season for the district.

Any person committing a breach of any of these conditions is liable, on conviction, to a fine of £20.

All that area comprising the County of Grey.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
License to take or kill Imported Game (Deer).
, of , having this day paid the sum of £2 is hereby authorized to take or kill red-deer stags and hinds and fallow-deer bucks and does within the Grey District Acclimatization District, from the 26th day of March, 1925, to the 13th day of June, 1925 (both days inclusive), subject to the provisions of the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, and all regulations and notifications affecting red deer and fallow deer made thereunder and in force within the said district.
This license does not authorize the holder thereof to take or kill red-deer stags and hinds or fallow-deer bucks and does on lands actually and exclusively used by any registered acclimatization society for acclimatization purposes, or on any sanctuary or public domain, or on any land excepted from the operation of the notification declaring an open season for the district.

Open Season for Fallow-deer Shooting, Lakes District Acclimatization District.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, Richard Francis Bollard, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the period from the 26th day of March, 1925, to the 21st day of May, 1925 (both days inclusive), to be an open season in the Lakes District Acclimatization District for the taking or killing of the following imported game—viz., fallow-deer bucks—within that part of the said acclimatization district described in the First Schedule hereto, subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS.

LICENSES to take or kill fallow-deer bucks may be issued by the Postmaster at Queenstown, on the recommendation of the secretary of the Lakes District Acclimatization District, on payment of a license fee of £3, in the form prescribed in the Second Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Act and regulations thereunder and this notification. Provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person.

Ball cartridge only to be used; provided that no metal-patched or metal-cased bullet shall be used for killing such deer.

No doe or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext whatever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself of any attendant he may have with him.
