MEDICAL REGISTRATION.

I, KINGSLEY RUPERT STEENSON, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, now residing in Oamaru, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 5th February next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the -Medical Officer of Health at Dunedin.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Road Boards Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908, and their amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Tamaki Road Board proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work--namely, the formation of a recreation-ground--and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the said Board situate at Wharf Road, St. Helier's Bay, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Clerk of the said Board at the said office.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of parcel of land required to be taken: 23 acres 2 roods 13·6 perches.

Being portion of Farm Sections 32 and 40A, District of Tamaki, Parish of Waitemata; edged on plan red.

Situate in the district of Tamaki.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore existing between ROBERT HOWARD TAYLOR and SUSANNA MARY LATHAM, carrying on business under the style of “Howard Taylor and Hamilton,” as Chiropodists and Masseurs, at Victoria Street, Auckland, is dissolved as from the 15th day of December, 1924, and that the said SUSANNA MARY LATHAM, in conjunction with Mr. G. G. HAMILTON, will in future carry on the said business under the style of “Howard Taylor and Hamilton.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between TOM GEORGE BANKS, WILLIAM HENRY BANKS, and JACK CUTLER, all of Newmarket, near Auckland, Monumental Masons, carrying on business as Monumental Masons at Newmarket, Auckland, under the style of “Banks Brothers and Cutler,” has been dissolved as from the 15th day of November, 1924, so far as concerns the said JACK CUTLER, who retires from the said firm.

All debts due to and owing by the late firm will be received and paid respectively by TOM GEORGE BANKS and WILLIAM HENRY BANKS, who will continue to carry on the said business in partnership under the firm name of “Banks Brothers.”

ONE TREE HILL ROAD DISTRICT.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Body Corporate of the Inhabitants of the One Tree Hill Road District, under the powers vested in it by sections 18 and 19 of the Public Works Act, 1908, requires to take for a public road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

A plan showing the said land required to be taken is open for inspection at the office of the One Tree Hill Road Board, Manukau Road, Auckland.

All persons affected by the taking of the said land are hereby required to set forth in writing any well grounded objections to the taking of the said land and to send such writing to the said body corporate within forty days from the date hereof.

Dated at Auckland this 18th day of December, 1924.

THE SCHEDULE.

All that piece of land situated in the One Tree Hill Road District in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing ten decimal eight perches, more or less, being part of Lot Sixty-nine of Allotment Ten, Section Twelve, of the Suburbs of Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan deposited in the Chief Surveyor’s Office at Auckland under Number 23023, and thereon coloured purple.

And also all that piece of land containing five acres and ten perches, more or less, being part of Allotment Ten of Section Twelve of the Suburbs of Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan deposited in the Chief Surveyor’s Office at Auckland under Number 23023, and thereon coloured pink.

BIRKENHEAD BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION striking special rate of fifteen-sixteenths of a penny as a security for loan of £17,000, authorized to be raised for the construction of streets and footpaths, passed at an ordinary meeting of the Birkenhead Borough Council held on 3rd December, 1924:

RESOLUTION.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund on a loan of £17,000, authorized to be raised by the Birkenhead Borough Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for streets and footpaths construction and improvements, a poll for which was taken on the 12th day of March, 1924, the said Birkenhead Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 15/16ths of a penny in the £1 on the rateable value on all rateable property in the Borough of Birkenhead; and that special rate be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NAPIER BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the amendments thereof, the Napier Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of two thousand one hundred and fifty pounds (£2,150), authorized to be raised by the said Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting a “Mothers’ Rest” building on that part of Clive Square lying between Emerson and Tennyson Streets and the cost of raising the loan, interest, and sinking fund for the first year and contingencies, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven four-hundredths (11/400ths) of a penny in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
