IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Waitemata County Council hereby resolves as follows :- That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Waitemata County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for road-construction, bridge and culvert building, and constructing and metalling roads in the Pukeatua Riding of the County of Waitemata, the said Waitemata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Pukeatua Riding of the County of Waitemata; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of June and the first day of December in each and every year, or until the loan is fully paid off. 935 FRANK W. PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work-to wit, the construction of a public road-for which purpose the following lands require to be taken by the said Waipa County Council under the provisions of sections 18 and 19 of the Public Works Act, 1908-that is to say, all that piece of land containing 11.4 perches, more or less, being part Pokuru 2F 2c Block. A plan of the land required to be taken as aforesaid is open for inspection at the office of the Waipa County Council, Bank Street, Te Awamutu. All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing to the Waipa County Council, Te Awamutu, within forty days from the date of the first publication of this notice.
