Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Westport North Beach Domain.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of January, 1924.

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

His Worship the Mayor of Westport, ex officio,
Charles Hopkins,
Thomas Shaw,
John Kilkenny, and
John Donnelley

to be the Westport North Beach Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Thursday, the thirty-first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, at eight o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Town Hall, Westport, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Ray Julian,
John Aylward, and
Albert Joseph Lilley,

to be the Warea Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the twenty-eighth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, at half-past seven o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Domain Building, Warea, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

WAREA DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 18 acres 3 roods, more or less, being part of Section 16, Block IV, Cape Survey District. Bounded towards the east by Section 1, Block IX, 870·9 links, from the Waiwerunui Stream to a public road; towards the south by a public road, 1535·9 links; towards the west by South Road, 1136·5 links; towards the north and again towards the west by the other part of Section 16, 190·6 and 296 links respectively; and again towards the north by the Waiwerunui Stream to the place of commencement, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Taranaki, Vol. 2, folio, 195.

Grouping Trades in the Borough of Te Kuiti for the Purposes of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, and specifying Goods comprised in such Trades.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 14th day of January, 1924.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by subsection five of section thirty-two of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, and of every other power in that behalf thereto enabling him, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that on and after the date of this Order in Council the trades of (1) bookseller, and (2) stationer, commonly carried on together in the Borough of Te Kuiti, shall be and they are hereby grouped for the purposes of the said Act in so far as the said borough is concerned, as the trade of bookseller and stationer: And doth hereby further order and declare that on and after the date of this Order in Council the sale of the goods set out in the Schedule hereto shall be deemed to be comprised in the trade of bookseller and stationer in the said borough.

License authorizing the Wellington City Council to erect Electric Lines from the Tramway Trolley-wire to the Premises of Philip Chetwood Watt on Miramar Quay, Wellington.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of January, 1924.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section two of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, it is provided that no person shall lay, construct, put up, place, or use any electric line except under the authority of a license issued to him by the Governor-General in Council under that Act:

And whereas the Wellington City Council (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”) desires to erect electric lines from the tramway trolley-wire in Alexandra Street and thence along Miramar Avenue in a westerly direction to the premises of Philip Chetwood Watt on Miramar Quay, Wellington (hereinafter referred to as “the said electric lines”), and it is expedient accordingly to issue a license in respect thereof under the said section:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the said section, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth, subject to the conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto, hereby authorize the said licensee to erect and maintain the said electric lines for the purpose of supplying power to motors; such electric lines and the position of the premises being indicated in red and black lines on the plan marked P.W.D. 58509, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.
