In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of The Fountain Tooth-brushes (Limited), a company registered under the Act.
A T an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened, and held at the registered office of the Company, Hellaby’s Buildings, Queen Street, Auckland, on Monday, 4th August, 1924, at 3.45 p.m., the following special resolution was passed :—
“That the Company be wound up voluntarily”; and was duly confirmed at a further extraordinary meeting of the company duly convened, and held at the registered office of the company, Hellaby’s Buildings, Queen Street, Auckland, on Monday, 18th August, 1924, at 4 p.m., at which latter meeting A. G. FRANKHAM, of Auckland, was appointed Liquidator of the company for the purpose of such winding-up.

HENDERSON TOWN BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE FOR PAYMENT OF INTEREST AND PRINCIPAL ON LOAN.
I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Henderson Town Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £15,000, authorized to be raised by the Henderson Town Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of acquiring land for the purposes of workers’ dwellings and the erection of workers’ dwellings thereon, the Henderson Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence and one-halfpenny (2½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value, being the unimproved value of all rateable property of the whole of the Henderson Town District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan if fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Picton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £450, being additional 10 per cent. on a loan of £4,500 raised for the purpose of completing the sewerage in the No. 2 Special Drainage Area of the borough, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/9th (one-ninth) of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable properties of the said No. 2 Special Drainage Area of the Borough of Picton, bounded as follows—Commencing at the north-easternmost corner of Section 8, Suburban (Town Belt), Linkwater Survey District, thence by Sections 1069, 1068, 1067, 1066, 1065, 1064, 1063, 1062, 1061, 1060, 1058, 1057, 1056, 1055, 1054, 1053, 1052, 1051, 73/82, 84/91, 159/168, 170/172, 1141, 1148, 5, and 6 of 7 Sub., and parts of 7 Sub., 25 Sub., Sections 462, 463, 464, 459, 451, 441, 426, 422, 405, 752, 759, 1134; thence bounded by the railway to Section 982; thence by Sections 985, 983, 981, 979, 977, 975, 16 Sub., West Terrace, Sections 871, 868, 867, 866, 865, 964, 863, 862, 861, Sub. 26, Sections 583, 582, 581, part of 580; thence by boundary of cemetery reserve, part. of 573, 572, 571, 570, 569, part of 4 Sub.; thence by Shakespeare Road, Dublin Street, to the southernmost portion of Section 199; thence by Picton Harbour to Section 1132; then by Sections 24 to 30, 1001 to 1009, 1111/1118, 1120; thence to the northern point of Section 8 Sub.; and bounded by the Town Belt; thence along the Town Belt to the north-eastern corner of the same; and excepting thereout all that portion being No. 1 Drainage Area, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 77, dated 23rd September, 1909, page 2405. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I, MABEL EVELINE MARSHALL, heretofore called and known by the name of “Mabel Eveline Harrison,” of Palmerston North, Spinster, hereby give public notice that on the 19th day of June, 1924, I formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of the said surname of “Harrison,” and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “Marshall” instead of “Harrison”; and I give further notice that by deed poll dated the 19th day of June, 1924, duly executed and attested (and registered in the Supreme Court Office at Palmerston North on the 26th day of August, 1924), I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of “Harrison,” and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “Marshall” instead of “Harrison,” and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known, and described by the name of “Mabel Eveline Marshall” exclusively.
